In language learning,learners need to rely on “practice” to master the ability of using language for communication.As the materials on which teachers and learners learn,the design of the exercises plays an important role in language learning.Based on the author’s teaching practice with this set of teaching materials,this paper analyzes the problems in the design of practice compilation of the teaching materials,and puts forward some suggestions for practice compilation,and practice writing the design.Based on the statistical analysis of the number of exercises,the type of exercises and the matching degree with the content of the unit,the author sums up the problems in five aspects of the textbook,namely,the use of “split-type” in the arrangement structure,and the separation of exercises from the main body of the text,the distance between learning and memory is large,which is not conducive to the study of learners;in terms of the quantity of questions,the quantity of questions in the textbook is uneven and the quantity of comprehensive explanatory questions is insufficient;in terms of the type of questions,the repetition of simple questions is excessive and the level of questions is not high;in terms of the amount of exercises in and out of class,the extra-curricular exercises are too long and usually take the form of oral exercises,which are not well completed by the students and not well matched with the contents of HSK.On the basis of statistical analysis data and teaching experience,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the compilation and design of the exercises in the two volumes of《Developing Chinese·Advanced Comprehensive Course》.The number of questions should be sufficient and average,and the number of questions should be increased or decreased according to different study emphases In the aspect of practice content,we should increase the variety and interest of the questions,make clear the practice directionality,reduce the sentence-making questions lacking context at the advanced stage,and link the practice design of the teaching material with the content of the HSK examination,pay attention to the “i + 1”principle and other suggestions.At last,the author adapted the third unit of 《Developing Chinese·Advanced Comprehensive Course 》 Synthesis II according to his own writing idea,and explained the design.It is hoped that the writer’s writing idea can be clearly displayed in the writing examples,which will provide a new idea for the future comprehensive textbook of advanced Chinese.
