As the main course,the comprehensive course undertakes the important task of learning comprehensive speech knowledge such as pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar and training various speech skills such as listening,speaking,reading and writing,so it has a very important significance in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Textbook is the carrier to acquire comprehensive language knowledge and skills training and guide learners to improve their language ability.Fundamentally speaking,language knowledge and skills are not taught but practiced.Therefore,for a textbook,it is very necessary to set up well-arranged exercises.In recent years,more and more attention has been paid to the arrangement of Chinese teaching materials and exercises as a foreign language,and related studies have surfaced one after another.However,these studies are mainly focused on the primary stage of the foundation and relatively lack of research on the intermediate stage,which,as a stage from the top to the bottom,plays a role of "bridge" in the process of Chinese learning.In this regard,on the basis of previous scholars’ research,this paper chooses "Developing Chinese · Intermediate Comprehensive" and "New Practical Chinese Textbook5 and 6" as the research objects.This paper starts from the following aspects: the first is the analysis of the quantity of questions.Examine the proportion of the exercises in the two sets of textbooks to see whether the amount of questions can meet the needs of students and how much is the most appropriate amount of questions.The second is the comparative study of question types.From the general category and distribution of question types,the fixed and varied question types and the analysis of specific question types,this paper investigates the question types of the two sets of textbooks and analyzes their advantages and disadvantages.The third is the content,from the pronunciation,vocabulary,sentences and dialogue,paragraph and Chinese characters five aspects of the practice content will be sorted out.At the same time,the paper also set up a questionnaire for intermediate level Chinese learners about the textbook practice,so as to make the research results more convincing.Finally,according to the previous comparative analysis and combined with the results of the questionnaire,this paper puts forward some opinions and ideas on the compilation of intermediate textbooks,hoping to make some contributions to the future research.
