A Comparative Study Of The Exercises In The Advanced Comprehensive Textbook Boya Chinese And Developing Chinese

This thesis is a comparative study of the exercises in two sets of advanced comprehensive textbooks of Chinese as a foreign language,Boya Chinese and Developing Chinese.From the arrangement of the exercises and the practice methods to discover the characteristics of the two sets of textbooks in terms of the setting of exercises.Find out the commonalities and differences,and summarize the advantages and disadvantages.This study will provide a certain reference value for the the compilation of exercises in advanced comprehensive Chinese as a foreign language textbooks.Chapter 1 is the introduction.This chapter describes the origin of the topic and introduces the significance and current situation of the study.Explain the object of the study and the research method.Chapter 2 makes a statistical and comparative analysis of the arrangement of exercises in the two sets of textbooks.It is found that both sets of textbooks focus on the practice of language elements,but only on vocabulary and grammar.And all focus on‘reading’,followed by‘ speaking’ and ‘ writing’.The exercises on ‘ listening’ and‘translation’ are basically not covered.Developing Chinese is richer than Boya Chinese in terms of language points and the types of questions for practicing language points.For vocabulary and fixed sentences or structures,there are no fixed types of questions in both textbooks.The question types are set and changed according to the concept of the textbook and the characteristics of the grammar points.Both textbooks have the disadvantage of having a single type of questions and a small number of exercises under each language point.Teachers need to supplement or redesign the exercises as appropriate in the course of teaching.Chapter 3 provides a comparative analysis of the practice methods of the exercises in the two sets of textbooks.From the perspective of practice methods,the two sets of textbooks are compared in terms of which methods prefer to use for practicing different language elements and language skills.In terms of the types of questions,Developing Chinese is more abundant.As for the practice of language elements,Boya Chinese has a single method for vocabulary and grammar.The three methods are used in a more balanced proportion.Developing Chinese is unique in that it has more practice methods for vocabulary and grammar.As for the practice of verbal skills,Developing Chinese has a richer practice method.According to the quantitative criteria of the number of questions,the proportion of questions on each language element,the proportion of questions on each language skill,and the number of questions on each type of question in the advanced comprehensive textbook Chapter 2 and Chapter3,we can see that the advanced comprehensive textbook of Developing Chinese is more scientific than the advanced comprehensive textbook of Boya Chinese.Chapter 4 proposes compilation suggestions and teaching suggestions related to the exercises based on the previous analysis of the characteristics of exercises in the two sets of textbooks.Chapter 5 is the conclusion,which summarizes the content and views of the whole text.
