Research On The Ugliness Appreciation Of Contemporary Chinese Literature

Literary concepts have undergone important changes in the twentieth century.As a trend that can not be ignored in contemporary literature,ugliness appreciation is outstanding in the fields of theory,creation and criticism.Judging from the current research status,the theoretical research results of ugliness are relatively systematic,but the criticisms about ugly literature have not received enough attention.This article intends to take the phenomenon of ugly appraisal in contemporary Chinese literature as the domain of discussion,and explore the literary appraisal of ugly creation and criticism from three aspects: idea,practice,and value.Gains and losses,in order to make reflections and prospects on the construction of ugly theory and contemporary literary aesthetic concepts.The introduction mainly introduces the reason for the topic selection,current situation and methods of research.The first chapter mainly defines ugliness and appreciation of ugliness on the level of concept,and explores the causes of the thought of appreciation of ugliness in contemporary literature.The emergence of ugliness appreciation makes contemporary literature step out of the realm of aesthetics and into a new change of literary ugliness appreciation.From “turning ugliness into beauty” to “taking ugliness as beauty”,it shows that the concept of ugliness appreciation in literature is becoming more and more mature.The second chapter mainly analyzes contemporary literary ugly creation and criticism practice at the level of practice.First,Summarize and analyze the phenomenon and characteristics of ugly appreciation in contemporary literature from three aspects: natural ugliness,social ugliness and spiritual ugliness.Secondly,it explores the critics’ discourse on ugly appraisal from a theoretical perspective,and summarizes the three representative positions of ugly appraisal criticism: Li Jianjun,Xie Youshun,Dong Xiaoyu,etc.as representatives of the ugly appraisal critical view,and Nan Fan,Sun Shaozhen,Wang Hongyue,etc.The representative’s view of affirmation of ugly appraisal,the neutral view of ugly appraisal represented by Hong Zhigang,Sun Yu,and Pan Daozheng.The third chapter mainly explores the perceptual value of ugliness research of contemporary literary appreciating ugliness,supplementing aesthetic criticism,and developing perceptual thinking at the axiology level.At the same time,it reflects on the dilemma and way out of contemporary literature’s ugly appraisal under the complex and diverse social and cultural environment since the new century.On the one hand,the creation of ugly appraisal inevitably tends to be addicted to ugliness and show off.On the other hand,the lack of consciousness of ugly appraisal and criticism makes it impossible to effectively guide the healthy development of literary aesthetic concepts.In the face of this dilemma,it is necessary for critics to consciously guide and regulate the creation of ugly appraisal,as well as for writers and readers to calmly examine and dialectically think about the phenomenon of literary appraisal,so as to jointly establish a healthy aesthetic taste and enable contemporary review Ugly literature releases new vitality in the tide of the new century.The conclusion is mainly based on the future of ugliness and the construction of contemporary literary aesthetic concepts,and a brief summary of contemporary literary ugly thoughts.Neither aesthetics nor appraisal of ugliness alone can guide the development of contemporary literature.The future of ugliness and the construction of contemporary literary aesthetic concepts need to move towards an era of "combination",that is,a harmonious literary aesthetic that examines both beauty and ugliness.
