During the New Deal period in the late Qing Dynasty,it is a prominent historical phenomenon that a large number of schools of branch education appeared.During this period,various sub-disciplinary education schools such as higher schools,industrial schools and normal schools emerged,forming a sub-disciplinary education system.At the same time,all kinds of branch education schools appeared in different places at the same time,forming a scale effect.When the modern new national education and academic education had not been developed or formed,the advancement of specialized schools and specialized education was driven by the emergency needs of the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty.The New Deal at the end of the Qing Dynasty was a self-overall reform led by the Qing court,including the two fundamentals of national remodeling and functional change,which were prominently reflected in both legalization and specialization.The country needs a lot of specialized talents at this time.Therefore,it was the first to establish a special school to meet the needs of the New Deal and constitute a special supporting project for the New Deal reform.The historical phenomenon of this branch education school first emerged did not begin with the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty.In the period of the Westernization Self-Strengthening New Deal and the Reform and Reform New Deal,there were branch education schools to support the New Deal ’s demand for specialized personnel,but there were differences in the types and scale of specialized schools.From this we can see the historical inheritance and changes that existed between the Westernization Self-Strengthening New Deal,the Reform and Reform New Deal,and the Late Qing New Deal.Under the circumstances that the traditional general education and the imperial civil examination system were the dominant ones and the reform was difficult,the new policy reform in the late Qing Dynasty could only adopt a special alternative method,which was to set up special schools for the subject education outside the imperial civil examination system and the general education system.This special historical phenomenon can’t be simply included in the history of modern education,but can only be seen in the context of the New Deal reform in order to see the unique status and historical importance of this special school and branch education.At the same time,the rise of branch education schools also provides us with a special perspective to study the New Deal of the late Qing Dynasty.
