| Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,vocational education,which is an important part of socialist education with Chinese characteristics,has entered a new era as well.Our country attaches great importance to the development of vocational education.With the expansion of vocational high schools,the number of students enrolled increasing gradually and low admission score of vocational high school,the quality of students is not high and the students are poor in general courses.English as a subject that vocational high school students must learn plays an important part in promoting the quality of human culture and the ability of language application.The students’learning aims are unclear and the learning habits are not good.What’s more,they are lack of autonomous learning awareness and self-control,and they can’t control their behavior,which leads to a series of problems in class.As the English teachers of vocational high schools,we should emphasis on classroom management,so we can stimulate students’ interest in learning English,then improve English teaching effect.According to problems of class management of English teaching in vocational high school,this paper adopts literature method,questionnaire method,case method and observation method to analyze the problems of English class in vocational high school and reasons from four aspects,namely teachers’ awareness of class management,teachers’classroom management effectiveness,school management system and employment and further education of students.As following,consciously,the teachers are poor in awareness of class management and are lack of the knowledge about class management,so they pay much attention to teaching and neglect management in class.In action,the single teachers’ teaching and management style,lack of the concept of"lifelong learning" and the motivation to improve their self-cultivation,which results in inefficient management.Institutionally,vocational high school management system is imperfect.Meanwhile,class discipline and school rules are low in execution and cannot be effectively implemented.Structurally,with the dislocation of employment and further education,vocational schools are in pursuit of enrollment rate blindly under the guidance of the college entrance examination and ignore the development of students’ professional skills,which gets students in trap of high pressure of further education and low employment rate.This study is based on problems of class management of English teaching in vocational high school,reasons and personal teaching practice,then puts forward four corresponding countermeasures:strengthening teachers’ awareness of management,improving teachers’ classroom management effectiveness,perfecting school management system and developing school with a feature of employment-oriented. |
