With the intensification of the diversified development of today’s society,the family education model varies greatly,and the individual differences of students from middle school are more and more obvious with the influence of society and family.If schools still treat different groups of middle school students with unified requirements,some students will be "underfed" and their development will be inhibited,while others will be "overfed" and their burden will be increased,which is especially obvious in English subjects.English in middle school is the key link between primary school and high school,all regions and schools are actively trying to reform the teaching form.The hierarchical class teaching organization is to highlight the students’ subject as the purpose,try to realize the individualized teaching,so that students of different levels can get equal opportunities to learn English.However,any education reform will bring about some problems.In the process of the hierarchical class system,many management problems need to be solved as it is different from the previous teaching mode in many aspects.Therefore,it is necessary for researchers to conduct in-depth research from the perspective of teaching management,find out the typical common problems,analyze the causes,and then propose feasible solutions,so that hierarchical class-based teaching can play a greater role in the English education and personal growth of middle school students.Since its establishment in 2012,R Middle School has been brave enough to carry out various teaching reforms and actively learn from the successful experience of other schools.The English class system has been implemented since 2019.In the process of implementation,there are some difficulties and gains.Some problems are reflected in the school’s teaching management.The workload of the head teacher is more difficulty to finish and there is a lack of positive interaction between the head teacher and other teachers.The standard of dividing of students is simple;The evaluation system of students and teachers is not enough,and these problems are widespread and increasingly prominent.Based on the actual situation of teaching management of hierarchical class system in R middle school,this study found the problems existing in the reform process and analyzed them through a series of methods such as questionnaire and interview,so as to suggest operational solutions.The paper is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which elaborates the purpose and significance of this topic,the current situation and theoretical basis of the teaching management of hierarchical class system at home and abroad,the important and difficult points and innovation of the study.The second chapter elaborates and analyzes the background and methods of implementing the multi-layer class-based teaching system in R Middle School of Shanxian in Shandong Province,respectively from three aspects to interpret,of multi-layer lesson preparation,multi-layer teaching and multi-layer homework,and confirms the advantages of multi-layer class-based teaching system through comparison.The third chapter,through the analysis data of students’ questionnaire and teachers’ interview,finds out the problems in the teaching management of hierarchical class system.The fourth chapter analyzes the causes of the problems from four aspects: teaching management concept,teaching management subject,teaching management process and teaching management system.The fifth chapter propose effective improvement measures for the problems,so as to give full play to the role of hierarchical teaching and promote the better development of English teaching in middle school.Finally,the shortcomings of this study and the expectation of the prospect of hierarchical class-based teaching.Through the study of this article,we hope to provide some available teaching modes for middle schools,and some useful reference advices for English teachers,also expect all teaching staff to adapt to the new teaching mode as soon as possible,design and develop different levels of teaching mode according to students’ real situation and the actual demand.Let’s work together to promote the reform and development of education.
