A Multi-dimensional Investigation Of "Huaiyi(怀疑)+Interrogative Object"

This article investigates the linguistic phenomenon of "huaiyi(怀疑)" with interrogative sentence objects in multiple dimensions.The article is based on a large number of "huaiyi+interrogative sentence object" sentence corpus provided by the corpus,combined with previous studies on "huaiyi",starting from the three dimensions of semantics,grammar and pragmatics,and centering on the object of the language phenomenon of "huaiyi+interrogative sentence object" The three aspects of type,sentence structure and pragmatic function are further explored.The full text includes five parts:The first part is the introduction.It expounds the research origin and significance of this article,gives a general introduction to the current research status of this article,and explains the research content,research methods and corpus sources of this article.The second part is the meaning of "huaiyi" and the types of objects.This part first examines the diachronic evolution of the word "huaiyi".We find that "huaiyi" has evolved from two loosely grammatically related words to a closely related verb-object phrase,then into a verb-object compound,and finally Modern Chinese compound verbs,which are the expansion of the object type.The critical period for their development from phrase to compound word was in the Ming Dynasty.The meaning of the word "huaiyi"mainly developed from the meaning of the word "huaiyi",and its original meaning and extended meaning were almost at the same time as early as the Zhou Dynasty appear.Secondly,it analyzes the characteristics of "huaiyi" in modern Chinese."huaiyi" is a true psychological verb.When it is modified by the adverb "hen(很)",the preposition "dui(对)" can be used to advance the object,making "huaiyi" act as a formal object.Finally,based on the collected corpus,the object types of "huaiyi" are described.The object types of "huaiyi" are mainly divided into two categories:substantive and predicative.Substantive objects are mainly nouns,noun phrases,and pronouns;predicate objects are mainly Declarative sentences and interrogative sentences act as and prepositional objects.This article focuses on the situation where interrogative sentences act as objects of"huaiyi".The third part is the syntactic features of "huaiyi+interrogative object".This part mainly studies from syntax and semantics.Syntactically,this paper analyzes the syntactic types and structures of "huaiyi+interrogative object",and discusses the connection of"huaiyi" with four types of interrogative objects:Yes and no question,Choice question,Special reference question and Positive and negative question.Structurally,it distinguishes the conventional structure and special structure of "huaiyi+interrogative object".The conventional structure is the common subject predicate object structure,while the special structure is the disconnected conventional structure Discussion on word order structure and object preposition structure.We think that the meaning of "huaiyi" in"huaiyi+interrogative object" is neither "bu xiangxin(不相信)" nor "caice(猜测)"discussed in academic circles,but should be the meaning of "huaiyi" which is not obvious;we should distinguish the conventional structure and special structure in sentence meaning This paper discusses the semantic focus of the sentence pattern of"huaiyi+interrogative object" and the degree of doubt and faithfulness of the whole sentence.The fourth part is the pragmatic function of "huaiyi+interrogative sentence object".In terms of pragmatic function,starting from the three aspects of emotional expression,logical judgment and exceeding expectations,it mainly explores the three outstanding features of "huaiyi+interrogative sentence object","euphemistic expression function","subjective judgment function" and "marking abnormal function".The pragmatic function of the euphemistic expression function is divided into positive expression function and negative expression function for analysis;the subjective judgment function is divided into three categories:positive tendency judgment,negative tendency judgment,and undifferentiated judgment;indicate abnormal function It is divided into three categories:deterministic anomaly,feasibility anomaly,selective anomaly and specific anomaly.The fifth part is the conclusion.In the concluding remarks,we summarized the research content and results of this article,and pointed out the deficiencies of this research and the remaining issues that need to be addressed.
