| At present,with the advancement of science and technology,online teaching plays an important role in the education industry.Especially since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020,having adhered to the tenet of " classes suspended but teaching and learning continuing",schools of all types and stages in China started to conduct online teaching in an all-round way.The teaching method for international students has gradually changed from offline classroom teaching to online teaching.This article mainly,on the basis of literature research,uses the questionnaire method and interview method to conduct a comprehensive analysis,in order to understand the basic situation of online Chinese teaching for international students in Lanzhou,to find out the problems of online Chinese teaching for international students in colleges and universities,to point out the reasons for the problems based on the survey results,to put forward corresponding teaching countermeasures based on the reasons,to improve teaching efficiency and to provide some teaching suggestions.This article mainly consists of four parts.The first part is the introduction.It includes research background and significance,research status,research framework and research methods,research innovations,etc.The second part analyzes the questionnaire,sorts out the content of interviews with Chinese teachers in colleges and universities,and elaborates the current situation of online teaching for international students in colleges and universities in Lanzhou.Based on the analysis of questionnaires and interviews,three characteristics of the current situation of online Chinese teaching for international students in Lanzhou are summarized: First,online teaching for international students in Lanzhou is currently in the preliminary stage of exploration.Second,there is a different perception of the future development of online teaching between teachers and students.Third,the source of international students is relatively concentrated.The third part sorts out the advantages and existing problems of online Chinese teaching for international students in Lanzhou.The advantages of online Chinese teaching for international students in Lanzhou are in three aspects: first,teachers attach great importance to online teaching;second,the source of international students is relatively concentrated so that there is no problem of large time zone span;third,online teaching breaks through the limitations of time and space.The problems of international students in colleges and universities in Lanzhou are mainly in the following five areas: First,for teachers’ teaching,outdated teaching mode,single courseware production,writing difficulties on the blackboard,untimely teaching feedback,and insufficient supervision.Second,for students’ learning,the poor self control of students,low acceptance of online teaching,insufficient ability to identify online teaching resources,and difficult network environment.Third,for teaching platform,a rigid and single online teaching platform for teachers to choose.On the one hand,it is because some teaching platforms cannot be used normally out of China,and on the other hand,some teachers are lack of a systematic and comprehensive understanding to the functions of the teaching platform.Fourth,for teaching administration,online teaching schedules for international students need to be improved,and the administration of online teaching is relatively loose.Fifth,for mutual communication,during the online teaching period,there is a lackness of effective communication between teachers and students,as well as between the departments and offices within the universities.The fourth part is to explore the countermeasures to improve online Chinese teaching for international students in colleges and universities.These countermeasures are all under the guidance of theory,of improving the effect of online teaching.The improvement countermeasures are in five aspects: First,for teachers’ teaching,to adjusted the teaching modes suitable for online teaching,such as applying the flipped classroom mode to online teaching to improve the efficiency of live broadcast;to increase teachers’ understanding to various teaching courseware making platforms,to improve the level of making teaching courseware,etc.Second,for students’ learning,it mainly focuses on how to improve students’ self control and students’ acceptance of online teaching.Third,for teaching platform guarantee,this part mainly introduces the advantages and disadvantages of existing platforms,so that teachers can choose the platform according to the characteristics of the courses they teach.At the same time,this part also puts forward some suggestions for platform construction.Fourth,for teaching administration,some corresponding countermeasures,from scheduling to management,are put forward.Fifth,for mutual communication,not only the communication between teachers and students needs to be strengthened,but the sharing of teaching experience between the departments and offices within the universities is also very important. |
