Verbs, especially commonly used verbs, occupy an important position in the Chinese vocabulary system. The investigation and review of the evolution of verbs is of great significance to the development of Chinese vocabulary. The telling verbs studied in this article are an important category of verbs. The article mainly studies the changes in the syntactic structure of telling verbs, and then summarizes the law of its evolution and analyzes the specific reasons for the evolution. The first part is the introduction, which summarizes relevant research results at home and abroad, and introduces the research objects, research significance, innovations and research methods of this article. The first chapter examines the members of the meaning field of telling verbs in the ancient Chinese period.First, telling verbs are divided into "primitive" telling verbs(su,yu,zhao and ye)and "derivative" telling verbs according to the different ways of semantic derivation There are three types of verbs(wei, gao, bao,yu,bao)and "borrowing type" telling verbs(bai, bing),and then describe the syntactic structure and summarize its characteristics. In the ancient Chinese period,tell-like verbs were mainly monosyllable words, but their use with synonyms has been initially developed, with its own unique semantics and obvious semantic differences. In terms of syntactic structure,it is used in conjunction with the slogan "yue",and the syntactic structure of each spoken verb has great similarities, and both can carry double objects. The second chapter examines the members of the semantic field of telling verbs in Medieval Chinese, and continues to describe the semantic and syntactic evolution of the three types of telling verbs, and the semantics of the new members "shi" and "qi" in the sense field of "borrowing" telling verbs Describe and analyze the sentence and syntax, and summarize the characteristics of telling verbs in this period. The development of the telling meaning of the four words "Ye,gao, wei, and zhao" is relatively slow, and there is no new development in the syntactic structure and semantics, showing a tendency to withdraw from the semantic field.During this period, the phenomenon of synonymous use of telling verbs gradually increased, and it was in the stage of great development. At the same time, the differences in the semantic development paths of the members of the semantic field of the telling verbs have gradually emerged, and some have gradually become other types of words;in the syntactic structure, the biggest change is the use of the newly generated slogan "yun, yan".The third chapter examines the members of the semantic field of telling verbs in modern Chinese, describing the semantic and syntactic changes of the members left over from the Medieval Chinese period, and analyzing the semantics and syntax of the newly generated "condensed" telling verbs(tong zhi,zhi hui),And further summarize the use characteristics of semantic field members. In the modern Chinese period, the changes of telling verbs were relatively large.During this period,two-syllable telling verbs occupied the mainstream position, and most of them were combined by telling verbs downgraded to morphemes. But there are also "condensed" telling verbs that do not use telling verbs as morphemes. In modern Chinese, the syntactic structure of telling verbs has also undergone major changes, such as the diversification of adverbial forms, the diversification of quantitative phrases as complements, and the diversification of slogans. The fourth chapter summarizes and analyzes the diachronic evolution law and reasons of tell-like verbs.Telling verbs are gradually becoming disyllable, and the core words are more stable, the syntactic structure has greater similarity, and the length of use time has a greater relationship with the part of speech of telling verbs. The reason for the evolution is related to the characteristics of the members of the semantic field, the competition between the members of the semantic field, and the influence of the language environment. The fifth chapter is the conclusion. This part provides a clear summary of the basic content of the article and points out the related deficiencies.
