Robert Alexander Schumann was one of Germany’s most important romantic music composers and critics in the first half of the 19 th century.His works pay attention to music as the expression of emotions,with typical romantic music characteristics,so that the performers can experience the emotions in the hearts of the characters depicted in the music in his works.The author will introduce Schumann’s overall music creation and the creative background of the works studied in this article through the characteristics of 19th-century romanticism music,and start a targeted study of the harmony and melody,musical structure and aesthetic meaning of the works in this article.The musical characteristics of the work.Then through the processing of different rhythms and speeds of the work,the changes in the level of intensity,the grasp of the touch keys,the clear expression of multiple voices,and the precise use of pedals,we will study and explore the performance techniques of Schumann’s "Piano Sonata No.2 in G minor";finally The problems encountered in music performance learning are summarized and extended to the teaching process,thinking about the problems that need attention,comparing and analyzing different authoritative audio versions,and combining them for in-depth research.
