| The English curriculum standard for senior high school(2017)requires that senior middle school teaching should pay attention to the teaching reform under the information area,and the Standards stressed that senior middle school teaching should be scientifically organized and developed online and offline,which is called blended learning.Blended learning is a kind of “online” + “offline” teaching which combines the advantages of online teaching and traditional teaching.With the high-quality combination of the two teaching forms,students’ learning can be developed from shallow learning to deep learning.The relevant research shows that the teaching mode can improve students’ English ability significantly,but the research of blended learning mode is mostly focused on college English and higher vocational English,and there are few such researches in basic education.Therefore,improving the effectiveness of blended learning mode in the implementation of basic education class has great exploration values.In addition,due to the pressure of entering school and other reasons,in the actual classes in senior middle schools,the teachers’ excessive explanation leads to students’ low initiative in learning,insufficient cognitive participation,and large differences in learning results of different students.As a result,students are unable to achieve deep learning.Therefore,this study focuses on the application of blended learning mode to senior high school English teaching.This paper takes the students in Senior One in Hongtong No.3 Middle School as the research subjects,takes the blended learning mode as the theoretical basis,takes the compulsory one and the compulsory two of human education edition as the teaching content,designs the teaching cases and conducts the teaching practice.The specific research questions are as follows:(1)What is the student’s attitude towards blended learning in Hongtong No.3Middle school?(2)Can blended learning be helpful to improve students’ interest in learning?If so,how does it help?(3)How does blended learning affect student academic performance?Teaching experiment is divided into pre experiment stage,teaching experiment stage and post experiment stage.In the pre experiment stage,two parallel classes in Hongtong No.3 Middle School are selected as the research subjects,one class was the experimental class,the other was the control class.In the teaching experiment stage,the author is the teacher of both classes,the traditional teaching mode is used in the control class,while the blended learning mode is used in the experimental class.In the post experiment stage,the satisfaction survey of the blended learning mode was carried out in the experimental class to understand the students’ attitude towards the blended learning mode.In order to understand the influence of blended teaching on students’ interest in learning,the study attitude is investigated in the control class and the experimental class respectively.In order to understand the impact of blended learning mode on students’ academic performance,students’ mid-term and final-term scores are collected for data analysis.The results show that:(1)High school students have positive attitudes towards the blended learning mode.(2)The use of blended learning mode helps to improve students’ interest in English learning.(3)The use of blended learning mode can improve students’ performance.Based on the relevant theory and the conclusion of this study,the author will give corresponding suggestions for schools,teachers and students in the practice of blended learning mode.(1)Schools should improve teaching equipment,strengthen the construction of teachers,and provide technical support for the effective implementation of blended learning mode.(2)Teachers should change their teaching concepts,improve their abilities to adapt to the development of new things,and be good assist in students.(3)Students should strengthen their self-study ability and self-control ability independently or with the help of their parents to ensure the effectiveness of task completion. |
