| English writing is an important part of the cultivation of students’ English application ability.However,writing has always been a weak link in middle school English,and there is a common phenomenon of “students are upset when they need to write,and teachers have a headache in revising writing”.Blended learning is a learning model integrating network learning and traditional classroom learning,which inherits and innovates the traditional classroom learning model.In view of the advantages and disadvantages of traditional classroom learning model and online learning model,we can cultivate students’ interest in English writing by combining offline learning with online learning,so as to improve the quality of English writing.This study,which is based on the online platform--Pigai network and QQ group,combines the blended learning model with English writing.This paper takes two classes in Grade 8 of B middle school in Chongqing as the object,and conducts a one-semester long writing experiment.First,we use questionnaires and interviews to investigate the current situation of English writing for middle school students to understand the problems existed in English writing learning.Secondly,according to the current situation,the author designs the blended writing for students through online platform and offline writing teaching.Through analyzing the teaching environment,teaching content and students’ knowledge level,the author designs the corresponding writing activities and puts them into practice in the background of blended learning.After 18 weeks of teaching,the results show that the students’ writing level has been improved and the students’ interest and enthusiasm for English writing have been enhanced.Therefore,the author believes that it is feasible to apply blended learning model into English writing teaching.The author hopes to share the research results with other middle school teachers and put forward constructive referential suggestions. |
