Study On Three-Syllable Modal Adverbs In Modern Chinese

Adverb research has been widely concerned by academic circles,and various theoretical viewpoints and research results are fruitful.Among them,modal adverbs,as subordinate categories,are also rich in related research results.The study of trisyllabic words has been the focus of attention and research in recent years.In this paper,the cross words of trisyllabic words and modal adverbs included in Modern Chinese Dictionary(7th edition)are identified as the object of study.The dictionary was edited by the dictionary office of the Institute of Language Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and published by the Commercial Press.This paper is mainly divided into the following six parts:The first part is the introduction.The background and significance of "modern Chinese three-syllable modal adverbs" as a research topic are expounded.Through the definition of Chinese three-syllable words and Chinese modal adverbs and the general situation of the research,grasp the research status of this topic;The research object of this paper is determined to be the modern Chinese three-syllable modal adverbs;The research content and scope are 46 three-syllable modal adverbs included in Modern Chinese Dictionary(7th edition).This paper introduces the source of corpus,research method and theoretical basis of three-syllable modal adverbs.The second part is the selection and processing of three-syllable modal adverbs in modern Chinese.It mainly includes word item screening,data statistics and analysis processing.The word item screening part mainly describes the specific screening criteria and screening process.The data processing part includes the data statistics and the analysis of the diachronic changes of the part of speech and part of speech category of three-syllable modal adverbs.The third part is the form of three-syllable modal adverbs in modern Chinese.It mainly includes pronunciation and word formation.The phonetic part mainly analyzes the phonetic changes and prosodic features of modern Chinese three-syllable modal adverbs.In the part of word formation,the morphemes and types of word formation of modern Chinese trisyllabic modal adverbs are analyzed.The fourth part is the meaning of three-syllable modal adverbs in modern Chinese.It mainly includes semantic content and semantic classification.In the part of semantic content,46 three-syllable modal adverbs are analyzed based on the dictionary definition and the use case context of Peking University BCC corpus.In semantic classification,typical semantic features are extracted and classified by modal semantic feature analysis.The fifth part is the pragmatic value of three-syllable modal adverbs in modern Chinese.It mainly includes discourse marker function and modal metaphor function.The discourse marker function is embodied in the function of speech organization and speech act.The function of modal metaphor includes the classification of modal level,the classification of modal value and the subjective and objective orientation.The sixth part is the conclusion.Summarize the main points of the paper and point out the shortcomings and future research direction.
