Education is the foundation of every country’s development.Education is also a social activity to cultivate people.A person’s acquisition of knowledge and development of ability are mostly realized through school education,which can often change the destiny of a person or a country.All countries in the world have their own plans and development for education,such as China’s "863 program" and the United States’ "Star Wars program".In addition,the importance of modern education in Japan has also been the focus of the world.Education involves a wide range of fields and a wide variety of subjects,there are various disciplines of education,but also the growth of students need physical and mental,physical education,quality education.Among them,history education is an indispensable and even indispensable subject in many subjects.As the forerunner of basic education,primary education,as one of the earliest ways to impart historical knowledge,has a profound impact on the formation and development of Japan and Japanese people.As the product of educational idea and policy,history textbook is not only an important medium for learning education,but also plays an important role in studying a country’s culture,ideology and national character.Therefore,it is the most basic and direct way for us to study the history and culture of Japan by studying the elementary school history textbooks.The implementation of modern education in Japan was not smooth sailing.As a result of the early seclusion,Japan was isolated from the world system.It was not until Meiji restoration that Japan became civilized and got out of the predicament.Therefore,this paper discusses the changing process of Japanese elementary school history textbooks from Meiji restoration to the end of the second world war.Roughly divided into free writing before the Meiji restoration of issuance and gradually formed its own unique education system after the Meiji restoration,the examination and approval of the textbook system under the new teaching material,the beginning of the 20 th century under the national textbook system of the change of the four national textbook contents and the ways to write and publish,before and after the second world war,the textbook molding parts to describe.Paper roughly divided into the following several parts: the first part introduces briefly and concisely before the Meiji restoration,the Japanese textbook free flow conditions and with the advance of the Meiji restoration,Japan put forward the "new army","Japanese generale," the slogan of "civilization",and implemented,including education,under the guidance of a series of reforms,including primary school history textbook is the important content of reform.During this period,history textbooks in primary schools began to learn from the west,and many new textbooks were published,such as a brief history of Japan and a brief history of all nations.In the era of the second part for verification of the textbook,the civil rights movement and against the background of the system was abolished,Japan supporting a lot of to adjust the education program files,with the creation of the textbooks’ book verification regulations,marks the verification system of textbook formally established,the typical textbooks,such as "new historiography from empire","Japanese history" and so on,Japan into the era of verification textbooks;The third part is the two world wars,as a result of this textbook system has shortcomings such as bribery,so the Japanese government has adjusted for many times,in January 1903 passed the "national Japanese textbook" decision,and changes in numerous national textbooks,this article selects the first to fourth period of national textbooks,such as "elementary school in Japanese history","ordinary primary school Japanese history" and so on as the breakthrough point,through the analysis of the evolution process of textbooks to understand its education.Among them,the verification and national textbook system has a long history in the modern education of Japan,with remarkable results and the most far-reaching influence on Japan.Therefore,the selection of textbooks of verification and national times is described in detail,including the arrangement,selection and publication process of textbooks by the Japanese government,and the changes of educational policies are analyzed in the process.
