David Hockney’s Drawing Language Exploration

Among many British artists,David Hockney is regarded as one of the most influential because of his remarkable inclusiveness and openness in the process of artistic creation,which makes his paintings,photo collages and photographic works diversified.Based on my own creative experience,this paper expounds David Hockney’s painting language,the influence of his composition and color on my creation.Through the comparison of my works,this paper analyzes the changes of my painting language and the specific contents of my creation.From the perspective of my painting theme,the work mainly presents my life,records the story of myself and the people around me.Through the comparative analysis of the work and the exploration of my own oil painting creation,this paper expounds the change of my painting language in the creation process and the specific content that I draw on and absorb in the creation process.
