English curriculum standard of full-time compulsory stated that the task of English curriculum is “to inspire and cultivate the students’ interests in studying English,build up one’s self-confidence,develop a good habit of studying and form an effective learning strategies to develop independent learning ability and cooperation spirit.” Thus it can be seen that it’s extremely important for English teachers to inspire and cultivate students’ interests of English learning.This paper has explored the impact of iPad teaching on students’ English learning interests,academic achievement and cooperation and communication skills through experiments,to activate students’ vitality and class atmosphere and finally change the current situation that primary school students aren’t interested in learning English..Based on the analysis of the current research status of iPad teaching application at home and abroad,according to the theoretical foundations of pedagogy such as Constructivism theory,Humanism theory and Interest teaching theory,the experimental group and the control group are compared to explore the impact of iPad on English teaching.Firstly,select the teaching content,determine the research object after the pre-tests,start the teaching implementation,The experimental class is taught by iPad,while the control class conducts regular teaching.This teaching experiment lasts 4 weeks.Secondly,the experimental group and the control group are post-tested and various data is collected at the end of the experiment.Finally,the collected data is sorted and analyzed to draw conclusions.The results show that there is no significant difference in the improvement of students’ English scores by using iPad,but it has a positive effect on students’ interests in learning and communication.The results of informal interviews after class show that using iPad teaching can activate the classroom atmosphere and promote student communication.Learners are very recognized for the introduction of iPad into the classroom.Overall,this paper integrates iPad with English subject provides thetheoretical reference to future research of iPad in Primary School English course.
