The fourth generation of directors has many particularities in the history of Chinese films: they are the generation that began to systematically accept the professional knowledge of film in the early Chinese period,and they are also the generation with the largest number of female directors in China.In addition,their youth period coincided with the cultural revolution,and when they come back to shot movies,they were stuck in the embarrassing situation because of threats from the directors of the fifth generation,making the works of the fourth generation directors have multiple attributes.On the one hand,they need get rid of the shackles of traditions,and at the same time,they should have their own unique artistic views.The female directors in the fourth generation of directors has led to more films showing feminine living conditions in the history of Chinese films.In their creation,they mainly present two kinds of female characteristics: the first is that they pay attention to the image of young women,and they mainly show the subtle changes in the hearts of young women,showing the unique concern of female directors,such as youth forever by Huang Shuqin,the girl in red by Lu Xiaoya,etc.the second is to explore the poetry in life with the artistic feelings of women,such as Wang Junzheng’s the first woman in the forest,Shi Shujun’s The College Girl Murders,Huang Shuqin’s painting soul,etc.Huang received more attention for his film Ghost Love than any other female director in this group.The film was described by professor dai jinhua as the only "female film" in China,which shows the great value of the film in Chinese film history.Throughout the other films created by director Huang,from the early stage of film shooting in the factory,the middle stage of self-creation,to the last submerged in the commercial tide,her female consciousness is uneven,but there are certain changes in her movies.Correspondingly,the changes in the male image construction from the female perspective can also be found,which proves that director Huang has gradually begun to notice that men and women have the same dilemma.Even in a patriarchal society,men are not always enjoying the "patriarchy privilege".I try to use the theory of gender and R.W.Cornell’s theory called "masculine".analyzing the male and female image and its developing track in Huang’s movies.Under the influence of historicalbackground,Huang as a female director,it is too hard that the female expression can be noticed by the world.At the same time,the male internal structure is presented to the audience.
