| With the rapid development of the global economy, the environmental problems become much more serious. To promote economic development,it is significant to protect the environment and achieve sustainable environment development,so it has aroused great attention to the ecological environment. In order to learn the latest research about sustainable development, the translator chooses the first two chapters of Sustainable Greenhouse Gas Reductions from Bio-energy Systems for translation. As the source text mainly discusses the environment protection,it will serve as a reference for domestic environmental protection in the future by translating the source text. From the perspective of Eugene Nida’s Functional Equivalence Theory, the translator solves some problems met in the process of the translation by analyzing the typical examples and summarizing the translation strategies and methods according to the text features. There are four chapters in the translation report.Chapter one introduces task description which includes background, features and the significance of the source text.Chapter two discusses the translation procedures which contain pre-translation preparation,while-translation preparation and quality control. As the core part of the whole translation report, chapter three is mainly about case analysis.Under the guidance of Functional Equivalence Theory, the translator analyzes the source text from the lexical, syntactic and discourse levels in this translation.Chapter four is the summary of translation report which summarizes the lessons and experience as well as unsolved problems in the process of translation.Through doing this translation practice, the translator hopes to provide a certain reference for similar translation practices while improving the translation ability and enhancing the understanding of translation theory and strategy. |
