Objective:By observing the effectiveness and safety of "experienced ten acupoints" in the treatment of TTH,we explored the application of classic prescription of famous old Chinese medicine practitioners in acupuncture clinics clinical acupuncture and moxibustion,providing new ideas and methods for clinical acupuncture treatment of TTH.Methods:Ninety-seven TTH patients(7 expulsion)who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into three groups,namely,the "experienced ten acupoints" observation group(group A,n=32),the conventional acupuncture control group(group B,n=32),and the drug intervention control group(group C,n=33).A randomized controlled trial was conducted using acupuncture and medication as interventions and the VAS,headaches symptom and index scores,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Self-Assessment Scale for Anxiety(SAS),Self-Rating Scale for Depression(SDS),and pericranial muscle pressure pain scores as the main observations.Results:1.Pre-treatment baseline comparison: there were no significant differences among the three groups in age,gender,course,cause,VAS,headache symptom score,headache index,PSQI,SAS,SDS,and pericranial muscle pressure pain score(P>0.05).2.Overall efficacy comparison: after treatment,the total effective rates of group A,group B,and group C were 93.33%,80.00%,83.33%,respectively.There was no significant difference between group A and group C(P>0.05)and between group B and group C(P>0.05).However,there was a significant difference between group A and group B(P<0.05).3.Analysis of VAS,headache symptoms,and headache index: Compared with the pre-treatment period,all three groups showed significant improvements in VAS,headache symptoms,and headache index after treatment and during the follow-up period.After treatment,the improvement of VAS,headache symptoms,and headache index in group A was greater than that in group B and group C(P<0.05);During the follow-up period,group A was better than group B and group C in improving VAS,headache symptoms,and headache index.During the follow-up period,group A was better than group B and group C in improving VAS,headache symptoms,and headache index(P<0.05).4.PSQI,SAS,and SDS analysis: compared with the pre-treatment,there were significant differences in sleep,anxiety,and depression status among the three groups after treatment(P<0.05).After treatment,there was no significant difference in PSQI levels between the three groups(P>0.05).SAS and SDS levels in group A were greater than those in groups B and group C(P<0.05).5.Analysis of pericranial muscle tenderness score: compared with the pre-treatment,there was no significant improvement in left and right pericranial muscle tenderness in the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.The clinical efficacy of "experienced ten acupoints" in the treatment of TTH is definite.2.Both the "experienced ten acupoints" and the control group had therapeutic effects in improving the pain of TTH patients,but the "experienced ten acupoints" treatment was more advantageous.3.The "experienced ten acupoints" treatment can effectively improve the sleep quality,depression,and anxiety of TTH patients.4.None of the three groups showed outstanding performance in improving pericranial muscle pressure pain.
