| ObjectiveWe used the method of Qingyang Tongmai under the guidance of Qingyang Theory from“The Inner Canon of Huangdi”,and used Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction to treat the Cold-Dampness Syndrome of Knee0 steoarthritis, and observed the relief of knee joint pain and improvement of activity function after treatment. The scientific and objective evaluation of the clinical efficacy of this method aims to explore the clinical significance of Qingyang theory in the diagnosis and treatment of knee arthralgia.MethodsAll the cases in this study come from patients who were treated in the outpatient department of orthopedics and traumatology,Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October2020 to March 2021.According to the diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,68 patients with the Cold-Dampness Syndrome of Knee 0steoarthritis were screened out, including 36 cases in the observation group and 32 cases in the control group.Under the guidance of Qingyang theory, the observation group was treated with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction as the main ingredient, while the control group was treated with Nimesulide combined with glucosamine orally. The treatment period of both groups was 2 weeks. The observation indexes(Visual Analogue Scale,The Western Ontario and Mcmaster universities osteoarthritis),comprehensive curative effect and the occurrence of side effects(stomach pain)were compared and analyzed in the first week and the second week after treatment.Telephone follow-up was conducted three months after treatment to find out the recurrence. Results The research was analyzed and discussed by statistical method.ResultsThere was no significant difference in gender, location, age, course of disease and BMI between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),which was comparable.Compared with before treatment,VAS score and WOMAC score in the first, second and third weeks after treatment in the two groups were lower, with P<0.05,and there was a statistical difference, suggesting that both treatment methods can relieve knee joint pain and improve knee joint function. The VAS score and WOMAC score of the two groups were compared before treatment,P>0.05,which was comparable. In the first week after treatment, the VAS score and WOMAC score of the Chinese medicine group were compared with those of the western medicine group. The VAS score of the western medicine group was lower than that of the Chinese medicine group,P < 0.05,and there was a statistical difference. The WOMAC score of the western medicine group was lower than that of the Chinese medicine group,P>0.05,and there was no statistical difference. At the 2nd week after treatment, the VAS score and WOMAC score of western medicine group were lower than those of traditional Chinese medicine group, and there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).At the 3rd week after treatment, the VAS score and WOMAC score of Chinese medicine group were lower than those of western medicine group, and P > 0.05,with no statistical difference. The comprehensive curative effect of Chinese medicine group was 88.89%,while that of western medicine group was 84.38%,P>0.05,and there was no statistical difference. The incidence of side effects(stomach pain)after treatment was2.78% in Chinese medicine group and 18.75% in western medicine group,P<0.05,and there was a statistical difference. After 3 months of treatment, telephone follow-up showed that there were 3 cases of recurrence in Chinese medicine group and 6 cases of recurrence in western medicine group, and there was a statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05).ConclusionBoth Chinese medicine group and western medicine group can effectively improve the pain and mobility of knee joint.Western medicine can relieve pain more quickly, but Chinese medicine can ensure comprehensive curative effect,at the same time,it has fewer side effects than western medicine, and it is not easy to relapse. It reflects the advantages of treating the Cold-Dampness Syndrome of Knee 0steoarthritis with the method of Qingyang Tongmai and the use of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction under the guidance of the Qingyang Theory, which is worthy of further clinical research and application. |
