Objectives:1.The current situation of maternal perceived stress, resilience and parenting sense of competence was investigated.2.The relationship was analyzed between perceived stress, resilience and parenting sense of competence.3.The mediating effect of resilience was explored on the relationship between perceived stress and parenting sense of competence. Methods:By means of convenient sampling,426 maternal who underwent postpartum reexamination in a health care center in Wuhan from August 2020 to December 2020 were selected as the research subjects, and the questionnaire survey was started after the maternal informed consent. The survey tools were General Situation Questionnaire,The survey tools included the General Situation Questionnaire,Perceived Stress Scale(PSS),Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)and Chinese Parenting Sense of Competence Scale(C-PSOC),which were used to measure maternal general situation, pressure stress, resilience and parenting sense of competence.Use IBM SPSS 25.0statistical software to perform statistical analysis of data:use frequency and composition ratio to statistically describe general maternal data;use independent sample t-test and one-way analysis of variance to compare differences in maternal parenting sense of competence levels of childcare with different demographic characteristics.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between parenting sense of competence and resilience and pressure stress.Multivariate stepwise linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of parenting sense of competence. The mediating effect of resilience on the relationship between pressure stress and parenting sense of competence was tested by using the SPSS statistical software Process program, and the estimation method was Bootstrap, with the corresponding confidence interval of 95%.Results:1.This study distributed 450 questionnaires collected 440 parts, eliminate unqualified,14 parts invalid questionnaires,426 valid questionnaires, efficiency of 96.8%.2.The average score of parenting sense of competence was(70.05±9.74)points.The scores of parenting efficacy and parenting satisfaction were(34.46±5.66)points and(35.59±6.57)points,respectively.The perceived stress score was(14.30±5.59)points.The average score of resilience was(61.27±14.43),among which the scores of strength, optimism and tenacity were(21.32±4.94),(9.12±2.61)and(30.82±8.06),respectively.3.Univariate analysis showed that the maternal sleep quality, the growth and development of the baby, the frequency of the baby crying, and the support from the family members would affect the maternal parenting sense of competence. The maternal parenting sense of competence score of the better sleep quality group was significantly higher than that of the normal sleep quality and poor sleep quality group(P<0.05).The score of maternal parenting sense of competence in the group with better infant growth and development was significantly higher than that in the group with general growth and development(P < 0.001).The scores of maternal parenting sense of competence in the group of occasional crying infants were significantly higher than those in the group of frequent crying infants(P<0.001).The maternal parenting sense of competence score of the group who received more support from family members was significantly higher than that of the group with less support and general support(P<0.05).4.Correlation analysis showed that maternal perceived stress was significantly negatively correlated with mental resilience(r=-0.503,P<0.001),and there was also a significant negative correlation between perceived stress and strength, optimism and tenacity of resilience(P<0.001),with correlation coefficients of-0.514,-0.490 and-0.426,respectively;The maternal perceived stress was negatively correlated with parenting sense of competence,as well as the dimension of parenting efficacy and parenting satisfaction(P<0.001),and the correlation coefficients were-0.521,-0.352 and-0.469,respectively;There was a significant positive correlation between resilience and parenting sense of competence,as well as between dimension of parenting efficacy and parenting satisfaction(P<0.001),and the correlation coefficients were 0.532,0.543,0.321,respectively,the strength, optimism, tenacity and other dimensions of resilience were positively correlated with parenting competence(P<0.001),and the correlation coefficients were 0.521,0.436,0.491.5.Multivariate stepwise linear regression analysis showed that resilience, perceived stress, the frequency of infant crying and maternal sleep quality were independent influencing factors of parenting sense of competence, which could explain 37.9% variation of parenting sense of competence.6.Mediating effect of resilience on perceived stress and parenting sense of competence showed that resilience was playing a partial mediating role between perceived stress and parenting sense of competence, accounting for 30.62% of the mediating effect.Conclusions:1.The level of parenting sense of competence is at a moderate level, the quality of maternal sleep, the growth and development of the baby, the frequency of infant crying, and the support received from family members can affect the parenting sense of competence.2.Perceived stress is negatively correlated with parenting sense of competence, while resilience flexibility is positively correlated with parenting sense of competence.3.Resilience,perceived stress, child crying frequency, maternal sleep quality are the main factors affecting parenting sense of competence.4.Resilience partly mediates the relationship between perceived stress and parenting sense of competence.
