Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of Electroacupuncture and warm acupuncture in the treatment of allergic rhinitis. Methods:The patients who met the conditions of diagnosis and inclusion were randomly divided into the electroacupuncture group(32 cases)and warm acupuncture group(32 cases).Acupoints were selected such as Yintang,Yingxiang,Dazhui,Hegu, and Zusanli points for acupuncture treatment. In the warm acupuncture group, retain the needle for 30 min after acupuncture, and wait for the needle handle to cool completely before lifting the needle. In the electroacupuncture group, after acuesthesia, electroacupuncture was applied with Hegu point as the positive pole and Zusanli point as the negative pole on the same side. The density wave is the preferred current waveform. The intensity of the current is based on the tolerance of the patient. The electrification time is 30 min.Remove the electroacupuncture lead and lift the needle. The frequency of treatment was 3 times a week in the first 4 weeks and 2times a week in the fifth to sixth weeks. The changes of VAS score,RQLQ score, and TNNSS score at the end of treatment and 14 days after treatment were compared and observed between the two groups. Results:After 6 weeks of the treatment, the total effective rate was 86.67% in the warm acupuncture group and 73.33% in the electroacupuncture group. The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).14 days after 6 weeks of treatment, the recurrence rate was 15.38% in the warm acupuncture group and40.91% in the electroacupuncture group. The therapeutic effect of the warm acupuncture group was better than that of the electroacupuncture group(P<0.05).After 6 weeks of the treatment and 14 days after treatment, the scores of TNNSS and VAS in the warm acupuncture group were significantly lower than those in the electroacupuncture group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).At the end of 6 weeks,14 days after 6weeks of treatment, the RQLQ score of the warm acupuncture group was lower than that of the electroacupuncture group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.Both warm acupuncture and electroacupuncture can improve the clinical symptoms and signs of patients with allergic rhinitis.2.The therapeutic effect of warm acupuncture on mild and severe allergic rhinitis is better than that of electroacupuncture.
