| Objective To investigate the pediatric staffs’ occupational stress level and influential factors,explore the impact of occupational stress on mental health,and analyze the relationship of pediatric nurses’ social supports,coping styles and mental health status,in order to establish an occupational stress management frame based on Employee Assistant Program.Methods 1.To investigate the level of occupational stress and influential factors,420 pediatric staffs’ in one Ⅲ-A children’s hospital were selected.They were investigated by general information questionnaire,Chinese Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS),Job Stress Source Questionnaire.2.To explore the impact of occupational stress on mental health,and analyze the relationship of pediatric nurses’ social supports,coping styles and mental health status,a total of 381 pediatric nurses were selected.They were investigated by general information questionnaire,Chinese Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS),Social Support Rating Scale,Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire and Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90).3.To establish an occupational stress management frame based on EAP,adopt the methods of literature review,questionnaire,semi-structured interviews and team discussions.Results 1.The incidence rate of HRS was 70% of the total sample,the mean score was 27.47±4.69.There were significant differences in occupational stress among age,education background,occupational position,professional title and professional category.They had higher occupational stress who were below 50 years old,or had doctor or master degree,or had occupational position and junior or greater than junior professional title,or were doctors among sample.The correlation analysis showed that there were positive correlation between occupational stress and work load and time,word environment and source,professional work,diagnosis and treatment.2.The total scores of SCL-90 of pediatric nurses was 142(114~181).Correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between occupational stress and scores of SCL-90(P<0.01).There was a negative correlation between social supports and scores of SCL-90(except crankiness)(P <0.05).There was a negative correlation between positive coping styles and SCL-90 scores(P<0.01),and was a positive correlation between negative coping styles and SCL-90 scores(P <0.01).The route analysis showed that the social supports played a role of positive prediction on positive coping styles(β=0.45,P <0.01),but had no significant prediction effects on SCL-90(β=-0.04).The positive coping styles played a negative prediction role on SCL-90 scores(β=-0.31,P <0.01),and the negative coping styles played a positive prediction role on SCL-90 scores(β= 0.28,P <0.01).3.According to literature review,questionare,semi-structured interviews and team discussions,management frame was established based on EAP,including organization structure,service categories,and effect evaluation.Service categories included stress prevention,stress estimation and stress intervention.Conclusive The occupational stress of pediatric staffs was high,and the level of pediatric nurses’ mental health was low.Social supports could improve individual mental health status by positive coping styles.The occupational stress management frame was pertinence and practical. |
