| Objective:Develop peer support demand questionnaire for burn patients,provide a scientific tool for assessment of peer support needs of burn patients for health care workers,and apply the questionnaire to clinical practice to investigate and analyze the needs of burn patients for peer support and its influencing factors,so as to provide a reference basis for clinical development of peer support programs for burn patients.Method:1.Establish peer support burn patients demand questionnaire item pool: after literature review,clear peer support in burn patients in the application of research status and lack of research,combined with the relevant content of the discussion of the members of the research group to form a semi-structured interview outline for burn patients.Objective sampling method was used to select 10 burn patients for qualitative interviews in order to understand the needs of burn patients for peer support.The contents of the interview were sorted out,summarized and analyzed by Colaizzi phenomenological analysis,and the entry pool of the questionnaire for peer support needs of burn patients was established.2.Expert letter consultation and reliability and validity test: using the method of objective sampling,16 experts engaged in burn and nursing work were selected for two rounds of expert letter consultation.The contents of the questionnaire were modified,added,deleted and merged to form the first draft of the questionnaire for peer support needs of burn patients.The convenience sampling method was adopted to form the pretest version of the questionnaire after being tested with small samples.The preliminary version of the Peer Support Needs Questionnaire for Burns Patients was used to investigate the patients in the burn department of a Grade A hospital in Nanchang City,Jiangxi Province,and the items of the questionnaire were further screened through item analysis and reliability and validity test,finally forming the Peer Support Needs Questionnaire for Burns Patients.3.Peer support burn patients demand present situation and influence factors analysis:using convenient sampling method,according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,the general data questionnaire and burn patient peer support demand questionnaire were used to investigate burn patients in the burn department of Grade 3A Hospital in Nanchang City,Jiangxi Province,and to analyze the demand content and influencing factors of burn patients for peer support.Result:1.Establish the questionnaire item pool for burns patients’ peer support needs:Through literature analysis,group discussion and semi-structured interview,and formed the first round of peer support demand was burn patients experts enquiry table,including five dimensions and 47 items,the information demand dimension 17 entries,emotional dimension 12 entries,dimension of society to adapt to the demand for 8 items,forms of peer support dimension 6 items,peer support time dimension 4 entries.2.Expert consultation and reliability and validity test:(1)Results of expert consultation: the effective recovery rate of the two rounds of expert consultation was100%,the expert opinion submission rate was 75.0% and 12.5% respectively,and the expert authority coefficient was 0.91 and 0.92,respectively.The enthusiasm and authority coefficient of the experts were high,and the reliability of the letter consultation was high;The range of Kendall’s W was 0.18～0.32,and the differences were statistically significant after testing(P<0.05),and the coefficients of variation of each item were all less than25%.In the two rounds of expert letter consultation,16 items were deleted,16 items were modified,3 items were added,10 items were merged into 5 items,and the questionnaire of burns patients’ peer support needs was preliminarily formed,which included 5dimensions and 29 items.(2)Reliability and validity test results: no items were deleted after item analysis.The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that the KMO value of the questionnaire was 0.861,5 common factors were extracted,and the cumulative total contribution rate of explanation was 62.786%.The load value of 29 items on their common factors ranged from 0.492～0.845.The content validity(I-CVI)of each item of the questionnaire ranged from 0.833～1.000,and the average content validity(S-CVI/Ave)of the questionnaire was 0.977.Cronbach’s α coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.921,respectively.Cronbach’s α coefficient of the five dimensions of the questionnaire ranged from 0.819～0.911.The retest reliability of the five dimensions of the questionnaire ranged from 0.743～0.892.The final version of the questionnaire consists of 5 dimensions and 29 items.3.Peer support burn patients demand present situation and influence factors analysis:peer support demand total score for burn patients(98.99±11.51)points,entry divide the highest dimension for emotional need dimension(3.79±0.35)points,divided the minimum dimension of peer support entry mode(3.04±0.31),multiple linear regression analysis showed that age,culture level,community participation,burn area,burned area5 variables into the regression equation,explains peer support demand 57.7% of the total variation of burn patients.Conclusion:The Peer Support Needs Questionnaire for burn patients developed in this study has good reliability and validity,and can be used to evaluate the content of burns patients’ peer support needs.Burn patients have a higher need for peer support,and the main factors that affect the need for peer support are age,educational level,participation in group activities,burn area and burn site.Medical workers should carry out different forms of peer support programs for different patients,so as to enhance patients’ confidence in rehabilitation and promote their physical and mental health. |
