Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation(PNF)technique on motor dysfunction in patients with early hemiplegia of cerebral infarction. Methods: 64 patients with hemiplegia in early stage of cerebral infarction were selected and randomly divided into observation group(32 cases)and control group(32 cases).Patients in both groups received conventional drug therapy, physical factor therapy, traditional acupuncture and rehabilitation nursing. The control group was given corresponding treatment according to Brunnstrom stage, and the observation group was combined with PNF technique on the basis of the treatment of the control group for 4 weeks. The simplified Fugl-Meyer movement function assessment(FMA),Functional ambulatory category(FAC),Berg balance scale(BBS)and modified Barthel index(MBI)were adopted to evaluate the motor function and activities of daily living of 2 groups before and after treatment. Results: After 4 weeks of treatment, the FMA,Berg,MBI scores and Holden walking function grading in 2 groups were significantly increased(P < 0.01);And the observation group was better than thecontrol group(P < 0.05).Conclusion: PNF technique can effectively improve the motor function and the quality of daily living in patients with early hemiplegia of cerebral infarction.
