ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to localize and revise the‘Symptom Management Self-Efficacy Scale for AIDS Patients’ to make it a suitable self-efficacy evaluation tool for symptom management behaviors of AIDS patients in my country,to understand the current status and influencing factors of symptom management self-efficacy,and to provide clinical work Improve the level of self-efficacy and make full use of social support and self-efficacy to further develop intervention measures to improve patients’ depression,so as to provide a theoretical basis for improving patients’ mental health.Methods1.The Chinese version of the scale and its reliability and validity test:Through the translation,back translation,cultural adjustment and pre-investigation of the English ‘Symptom Management Self-efficacy Scale for AIDS Patients’,the Chinese version of the ‘Symptom Management Self-efficacy Scale for AIDS Patients’ was finally formed.Dimensions and items of the scale.Using the preliminary revised ‘Symptom Management Self-Efficacy Table for AIDS Patients’ as a survey tool,select AIDS patients from a third-class hospital in Changsha City as the research objects for investigation,analyze the survey results with SPSS23.0,and adopt the coefficient of variation method,critical ratio method,Cronbach’s αcoefficient,correlation coefficient method,exploratory factor analysis and other methods perform statistical analysis on the collected receipts to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scale.2.Current situation survey: Selected AIDS patients in a tertiary hospital in Changsha City as the research object,using the general information questionnaire,the Chinese version of the ‘AIDS Patient Symptom Management Self-efficacy Scale’,the patient health questionnaire(PHQ-9),and the social support rating scale(SSRS)is a research tool to investigate the current status of patients’ symptom management self-efficacy,as well as the status of depression and social support,and explore the influencing factors of symptom management self-efficacy of AIDS patients,and use correlation analysis to test the depression,social support,and social support of AIDS patients.The relationship between self-efficacy and symptom management.Results1.Sinicization and reliability and validity test of the scale: Strictly follow the translation principles of the Brislin scale,Chineseize and revise the‘Symptom Management Self-Efficacy Scale for AIDS Patients’.⑴Reliability: The Cronbach’s α coefficient of the scale is 0.945,the Cronbach’s α coefficient of each dimension is 0.935～0.942,the test-retest reliability is 0.920,and the Guttman splitting coefficient is 0.888.⑵Content validity: The content validity index(I-CVI)of each item level is 0.875-1.00,and the content validity index(S-CVI)of the average scale level of the total item is 0.94;(2)Structural validity: this study adopts exploratory The factor analysis method tested the structural validity of the scale.The results showed that the KMO value was 0.918,Bartlett’s spherical test showed that the χ2value was 1486.282,and the degrees of freedom were 36(P<0.001).The data is suitable for factor analysis.Principal component factor analysis and maximum variance rotation method are used to retain items with eigenvalues greater than 1 and factor loadings> 0.4,and a common factor is extracted;(3)Calibration correlation validity: general self-efficacy energy table is used to carry out validity standard correlation validity Detection.The results showed that the total score of the Chinese version of the self-efficacy energy scale for symptom management of AIDS patients was positively correlated with the total score of the general self-efficacy energy scale(r=0.586,P <0.01),which was statistically significant.2.Current status survey: A formal scale was used to investigate AIDS patients.A total of 162 questionnaires were collected.The results showed that the total mean score of the self-efficacy energy scale for symptom management of AIDS patients was(5.64±2.05),which was at a medium level.The results of single factor analysis It is shown that the source of patients,different ages,education level,marital status,family income,and medical insurance type are the influencing factors of the self-efficacy energy scale for symptom management of AIDS patients(P<0.05);Pearson correlation analysis results show that depression and symptom management Efficacy is negatively correlated,depression and social support scores are also negatively correlated;The results of multiple stepwise regression analysis show that in this study,education level,monthly family income,and depressive symptoms are important factors influencing the self-efficacy of symptom management in AIDS patients.There are three variables that enter the regression equation,which can explain the self-management of symptoms in AIDS patients.35.7%variation of efficacy(F=10.62,P=0.000;R=0.0.598,R2=0.357),and the regression equation is established: Symptom management self-efficacy=4.369+0.301×education level +0.282×family monthly income-0.095×depression.Conclusions1.The Chinese version of the Symptom Management Self-Efficacy Scale for AIDS Patients has good reliability and validity,and can be used to evaluate the self-efficacy of symptom management for AIDS patients in China.2.The self-efficacy of symptom management of AIDS patients in China is at a moderate level.The more severe the depressive symptoms of AIDS patients,the worse the self-efficacy of symptom management.Education level,monthly family income,and depressive symptoms are important factors affecting the self-efficacy of symptom management in AIDS patients.
