Effect Of Qubi Decoction On Serum IL-6 And TNF-α Levels In Patients With Acute Gouty Arthritis (Syndrome Of Dampness-Heat Obstruction)

Objective: To observe the effect of Qubi Decoction on the serum levels of IL-6and TNF-α in patients with acute gouty arthritis(Syndrome of dampness-heat obstruction),and provide clinical reference for the treatment of acute gouty arthritis with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:Seventy patients with acute gouty arthritis who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a control group(prescribed with meloxicam)and an observation group(prescribed with Qubi Decoction plus meloxicam)with35 cases in each.The course of treatment in each group was 2 weeks,and the changes of IL-6 and TNF-α in the serum of patients were observed after 2weeks.Results: After two weeks of treatment,the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in Qubi decoction observation group and meloxicam control group were significantly decreased(P < 0.05);The decrease of serum IL-6 and TNF-α in observation group was significantly better than that in control group(P < 0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions to liver and kidney function in the two groups.Conclusion:(1)Qubi Decoction can significantly reduce the serum levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in patients with acute gouty arthritis(Syndrome of dampness-heat obstruction).The effect of Qubi Decoction combined with meloxicam is better than that of meloxicam alone.(2)Qubi Decoction has high safety and few adverse reactions.
