| Objective:The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of modified Yupingfeng powder in treating sweat syndrome(lung defecation syndrome)of infants by observing the changes of clinical symptoms of sweat syndrome,including sweating,cough,stuffy nose,runny nose,appetite,sleep,second stool,tongue image,etc.Aim of review is to achieve more robust evidence on the efficacy of modified Yupingfeng powder in treating infantile sweat syndrome in terms of effective rate.Methods:1.According to the subject,first thing was to develop reasonable literature inclusion and exclusion criteria,then to search the medical databases in turn,such as CNKI,VIP database,Wanfang database and Pubmed and so on.The range of search is from the establishment of the database to January 2021,all the randomized controlled trials of Yupingfeng Powder in the treatment of infantile sweat syndrome,strictly screened the literature that met the requirements,extracted the basic information and research data,evaluated its quality,and systematically analyzed the relevant data.Revman 5.3 software was used to carry out the Meta analysis of the entire study,and the final conclusion was drawn.2.From January 2020 to December 2020,a total of 66 children with sweat syndrome(lung defecation syndrome)were enrolled from the outpatient department of Affiliated Hospital of Integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine,Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.All the children were randomly divided into two groups,an experimental group(n=35)and a control group(n=31).The modified yupingfeng powder(granules)was used in the experimental group while the calcium carbonate D3 granules was used in the control group.All the patients were treated 4 weeks and the follow-up visits were conducted every 7 days.The clinical symptoms scores of sweating,cough,stuffy nose,runny nose,appetite,sleep,second stool and tongue were evaluated and recorded at before treatment,and 1 week,2 weeks,3 weeks and 4 weeks after treatment.Changes in primary and secondary symptoms were evaluated before and after treatment.Statistical software from SPSS 25.0 was used to analyze the data collected.Results:1.A total of 16 articles and 1286 cases of children are included in this Meta analysis.All the 16 literatures explaines the effective rate of Yupingfeng Powder on infantile sweat syndrome.There are 652 cases in the experimental group,which 595 cases are effective;and 634 cases in the control group,which 405 cases are effective.Heterogeneity(I2=15%)is low.The OR value after the merger is 7.34,the 95%CI is(5.17,10.41),and Z is 11.17(P<0.00001),indicating that the experimental group’s effective rate is higher than that of the control group.The distribution of funnel chart is symmetrical and there is no serious adverse reaction.2.Both the experimental group and the control group can effectively treat the main symptoms of infantile sweat syndrome(lung defecation syndrome),but the curative effect of the experimental group is significantly better than that of the control group(P=0.006).The total effective rate of the experimental group is 100%,and that of the control group is 80.6%.3.Both the experimental group and the control group can treat the secondary symptoms of infantile sweat syndrome(lung defecation syndrome),but the curative effect of the experimental group is significantly better than that of the control group(P=0.000).The total effective rate of the experimental group is 88.6%and that of the control group is 25.8%.4.1n the experimental group,the average score of the main symptom before and 4 weeks after treatment is 4.03±1.618(range:3-9)and 1.40±0.847(range:0-3),respectively.The average score of secondary symptoms before and 4 weeks after treatment is 6.09±3.043(range:0-12)and 2.91 ± 1.884(range:0-7),respectively.The total average score is 10.11 ±2.423(range:3-15)before treatment,and 4.34± 1.814(range:1-8)4 weeks after treatment.After 4 weeks of treatment,the scores of primary,secondary and total symptoms are significant different from those before treatment(P<0.05).5.In the control group,the average score of the main symptom before and 4 weeks after treatment is 4.06±1.459(range:3-6)and 2.61±0.803(range:2-5),respectively.The average score of secondary symptoms before and 4 weeks after treatment is 5.61±3.263(range:0-15)and 4.48±2.719(range:0-13),respectively.The total average score is 9.68±3.609(range:6-21)before treatment,and 7.10±2.879(range:2-16)4 weeks after treatment.After 4 weeks of treatment,the scores of primary,secondary and total symptoms are significant different from those before treatment(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Meta analysis shows that Yupingfeng Powder can effectively treat infantile sweat syndrome,and its curative effect is better than that of conventional western medicine.2.Yupingfeng Powder can effectively treat the main symptoms(sweating)of infantile sweat syndrome(lung defecation syndrome),as well as cough,stuffy nose,runny nose,appetite,sleep,second stool,tongue and other secondary symptoms.And its curative effect is significantly better than that of calcium carbonate D3 granules.At the same time,no adverse events are reported in this study. |
