Meta-analysis Of Yupingfeng Powder In The Treatment Of Herpes Simplex Virus Keratitis

Purpose:To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of YuPingFeng powder in curing herpes simplex keratitis.Material and method:By using both computer and manual ways,with the careful search logic along with inclusive and exclusive criteria,the literatures of RCT of YuPingFeng powder in curing herpes simplex keratitis have been searched in the databases,which includes chinese literature databases of Wanfang Date,CNKI and ChongQing VIP;and foreign literature databases of Pubmed,EMbase,Cochrane Library,from the databases set up to February 2018.The documents,which meet the inclusive criteria,assessed with JADAD Scale and Cochrance reviews Handhook 5.1.0 to meta-analysis via RevMan 5.3,and come to a conclusion.Results:There are 12 literatures fit the inclusive criteria in this meta-analysis,which include 1181 patients,588 in experimental group,and other 475 in control group.Those literatures are not high quality.This meta-analysis shows that,HSK patients in experimental groups with both conventional treatment and Yupingfeng powder are better than those in control groups in total efficiency,cure rate and recurrence rate,and results show statistical differences.Funnel figures show publication bias.Sensitivity analysis reveal that the results are stable.Only 2 of all literatures had reported adverse reactions,so it’s insufficient to evaluate the safety of all researches.Conclusion:Yupingfeng powder has certain effects in curing herpes simplex keratitis,and is better than control group merely using conventional treatment,and also reduce the recurrence rate of herpes simplex keratitis.But more high quality RCT with large samples is still needed.
