Analysis Of TCM Syndrome Types And Prescription Medication Rules In Patients With Senile Dementia Based On Data Mining

Objective:To explore the treatment of senile dementia in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome types and the rule of drug use.To provide ideas and references for the clinical treatment of senile dementia by Chinese medicine.Method:This research includes two parts:literature research and data mining.The literature research expounds the aspects of TCM understanding of senile dementia,TCM treatment methods,and modern medical treatment methods.Data mining:Statistics of elderly patients with senile dementia in the Department of Geriatrics(Health Care)and Encephalopathy in the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2014 to 2019 were collected,and prescription statistics were performed through the hospital electronic medical record system.Then use the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance auxiliary platform(2.5),and use unsupervised data mining methods such as complex system entropy clustering and association rules Apriori to perform data mining on traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions.Analysis of the syndrome types and prescriptions of prescriptions for treatment of senile dementia in this hospital in recent years.Result:After screening,a total of 300 prescriptions are eligible and 6 syndrome types are summarized,including phlegm and blood stasis obstruction,spleen and kidney deficiency,phlegm turbid covering orifices,marrow sea deficiency,heart and liver yin deficiency,and blood stasis internal resistance.Senile dementia treatment of phlegm and blood stasis obstruction includes 91 prescriptions and the drugs with higher used frequency are chuanxiong,fried peach kernel,atractylodes,astragalus,and poria,etc.,the common compatible drug pairs are analyzed,and 10 core combinations are extracted to further obtain 5 new prescriptions.Senile dementia treatment of spleen and kidney deficiency includes 65 prescriptions and the drugs with higher used frequency are atractylodes macrocephala,poria cocos,shangdang ginseng,astragalus membranaceus,and acorus calamus,etc.,the common compatible drug pairs are analyzed,and 12 core combinations are extracted to furtherobtain 6 new prescriptions.Senile dementia treatment of phlegm turbid covering orifices includes 50 prescriptions and the drugs with higher used frequency are poria,pinellia,atractylodes macrocephala,acorus calamus,dried tangerine peel,etc.,the common compatible drug pairs are analyzed,and 12 core combinations are extracted to further obtain 6 new prescriptions.Senile dementia treatment of marrow sea deficiency includes 45 prescriptions and th-e drugs with higher used frequency are cornus officinalis,rehmannia glutinosa,poria,yam,acorus calamus,etc.,the common compatible drug pairs are analyzed,and 12 corecombina-tions are extracted to further obtain 6 new prescriptions.Senile dementia treatment of heart and liver yin deficiency includes 33 prescriptions and the drugs with higher used frequency are licorice,raw radix rehmanniae,paeonia lactiflora,figwort,and ophiopogon japonicus,etc.,the common compatible drug pairs are analyzed,and 6 core combinations are extracted to further obtain 3 new prescriptions.Senile dementia treatment of blood stasis internal resistance includes 16 prescription-s and the drugs with higher used frequency are fried peach kernel,chuanxiong,astr-agalus,licorice,poria,etc.,the common compatible drug pairs are analyzed,and 6 core combinations are extracted to further obtain 3 new prescriptions.Conclusion:Through the analysis of the research results,the TCM clinical syndrome types and the rules of prescription and medication for the treatment of senile dementia are summarized,which are mainly three syndrome types with exuberant evil spirits:phlegm and blood stasis obstruction,phlegm turbid covering orifices,blood stasis internal resistance,and three syndrome types with deficiency of vital energy:spleen and kidney deficiency,marrow sea deficiency,heart and liver yin deficiency.It is concluded that:the prescriptions correspond to the diseases and syndromes,mainly eliminating phlegm and removing blood stasis,invigorating the kidney and strengthening the spleen,removing pathogenic factors and strengthening the body,and tranquilizing the mind and opening the orifices throughout the whole process,for clinical reference.
