Objective: This article aims to explore the clinical effect of Zhuye Gypsum Decoction on the treatment of Yangming heat and qi and yin deficiency insomnia from the theories of heart and stomach,and to explore its therapeutic effect and mechanism,so as to provide new treatment for insomnia with traditional Chinese medicine.Supported by ideas and clinical evidences to improve the clinical efficacy of insomnia.Methods: A randomized controlled research was used to collect 68 insomniacs who met the inclusion criteria in the outpatient department and ward of the encephalopathy department of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2019 to January 2020,and randomly divided them into experimental groups and control group.In the course of treatment,there were 65 effective cases,of which 33 cases in the experimental group were treated with Jiawei Zhuye Gypsum Decoction;32 cases in the control group were treated with Bailemian capsules for 30 days.Recorded the score changes of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale(PSQI)and TCM Syndrome Points Scale before and after treatment respectively.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 25.0 statistical software to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of these two treatment methods.Results: 1.PSQI score index efficacy: After 30 days of treatment,the total effective rate of the experimental group is 87.88%,the total effective rate of the control group is 65.63%,and the PSQI score index of the two groups after treatment is P> 0.05,and there is no statistically significant;but after treatment,the two groups of patients have statistically significant differences in sleep quality(P <O.01),the experimental group is better than the control group.2.Efficacy of TCM syndromes:comparison with the treatment before and after,the total effective rate of TCM syndrome scores in the experimental group is 93.93%,and the total effective rate of TCM syndrome scores in the control group is 68.75%.And after treatment,the PSQI score index(p<0.01)of patients between these two groups has statistical significance.Moreover,after treatment,the two groups of patients have great statistical significance in insomnia,sleeplessness,shortness of breath,dry mouth and thirst,abdominal distension,dry stool,etc.(P <0.01);in terms of upset,it was statistically significant(P <0.05),the experimental group is better than the control group.3.Safety analysis: During the treatment,there were no serious adverse reactions and toxic and side effects in the two groups of patients,and the safety was better.Conclusion: Jiawei Zhuye Gypsum Decoction can significantly improve the sleep time and sleep quality of insomnia due to yangming heat,qi and yin deficiency,and can effectively treat the accompanying symptoms of insomnia in patients with definite curative effect and no obvious adverse reactions and the toxic and side effects during medication.Therefore,this method is worthy of clinical application.
