Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and disparity of the theatment with the elongated needle penetrating acupuncture along the stomach merdian of foot yangming combining with the treatment with needle among90patients suffered from the abdomen type of the simple obesity.Methods:90cases were randonized into two groups. The first group was treated with the elongated needle penetrating acupuncture along the stomach merdian of foot yangming, the second group was treated with needle.Results:After the treatments, the total effectiveness rate of the test group A was88.89%, with9cured,21markedly effective,10improved,5with no significant effectiveness on the test group A. The test group B has5cured,20significant effectiveness,11cases improved,9cases without significant effectiveness, the total effective rate was80.00%. It proved the efficacy of the group by the elongated needle penetrating acupuncture along the stomach meridian of foot yangming was better than the treatment with body acupuncture group (P<0.05), the differences is statistically significant (P<0.05) in living quality, body weight, BMI and other obesity index, especially on the waist and buttocks was decreased significantly. The comparison among the three groups has significant differences (P<0.05)Conclusion:The two methods are effective for the simple obesity. The therapy effect of the elongated needle penetrating acupuncture along the stomach meridian of foot yangming is comparatively distinguished. This method shows no obvious side-effect and is worthy to apply and popularize.
