Clinical Observation On Efficacy Of The Modified Qixingjian Decoction In Treatment Of Acne Vulgaris(Lung And Stomach Accumulate Heat Syndrome)

Objective:To discuss the efficacy and safety of the modified Qixingjian decoction treatment of the Lung and stomach accumulating heat type acne vulgaris by comparing with Fu Fang Zhen Zhu An Chuang Tablets, in order to expand the clinic adaption diseases of the modified Qixingjian decoction.Method:80qualified cases were selected and divided into two groups according to the principle of randomized control.40cases of the treatment group were treated with "the Qixingjian decoction" while40cases in control group were treated with "Fu Fang Zhen Zhu An Chuang Tablets". The treatments lasted for4weeks and scores of both groups before and after treatments were statistically analyzed by SPSS17.0.Results:75cases have completed this clinical trial.38cases in treatment group finished the trail, in which,7cases were cured,17cases showed markedly effective,11cases were effective and3cases showed no effects. The cure rate of treatment group is18.42%, total efficiency is92.11%.37cases in control group finished the trail, in which,4cases were cured,10cases showed markedly effective,17cases were effective, and6cases showed no effects, the cure rate is10.81%, and the total efficiency is83.78%. Skin Lesion Points:3weeks after the treatment, no statistically significant difference showed between the two groups (P>0.05), which suggested that the Qixingjian decoction and Fu Fang Zhen Zhu An Chuang Tablets can effectively improve acne lesions in patients; and after the4th weeks’ treatment, the difference between the two groups began to appear (P<0.05), which demonstrated that the Qixingjian decoction had a stronger effects than tablets. Symptoms scores:2weeks after the treatment, no statistically significant difference showed between the two groups (P>0.05), proved that the Qixingjian decoction and Fu Fang Zhen Zhu An Chuang Tablets can equally improve secondary symptoms in acne patients; and after the third and4th weeks’ treatment, the difference between the two groups began to appear (P<0.05), which demonstrated that the Qixingjian decoction had a stronger effects on secondary symptoms than tablets. Comprehensive Points:3weeks after the treatment, no statistically significant difference showed between the two groups (P>0.05), suggested that the Qixingjian decoction and Fu Fang Zhen Zhu An Chuang Tablets can equally improve the main and secondary symptoms in acne patients; and after the4th weeks’treatment, the difference between the two groups began to appear (P<0.05), which demonstrated that the comprehensive effects of Qixingjian decoction had a stronger effects than tablets.Conclusion:The modified Qixingjian decoction can obviously eliminate the clinical symptoms of acne vulgaris. The treatment of acne vulgaris is better than the control group with Fu Fang Zhen Zhu An Chuang Tablets treatment, worthy of further clinical application.
