Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Qingre Sanjie prescription combined with isotretinoin in the treatment of moderate-acute acne vulgaris(Traditional Chinese medicine Syndrome is a hot and humid conjunctive type),and to provide an effective combination of Chinese and Western medicine treatment for patients with moderately severe acne. Methods:According to the Chinese and Western medical inclusion criteria,60 cases of moderate-to-severe acne patients were selected out of the outpatients, and 30 cases were divided into control group and treatment group each by randomized envelope method. The treatment group was treated with Qingre Sanjie prescription and isotretinoin soft capsules(trade name:Tai Ersi)orally, and the control group was given isotretinoin soft capsules orally. Both groups were given the same external application:Vitamin E ointment. The total course of treatment is 6 weeks and follow up every 2 weeks. To record the quantitative scores of basic damage before treatment and at 2,4,and 6 weeks after treatment in the two groups of patients and TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment, and then calculate the corresponding efficacy index according to the change of points.Next, according to the efficacy index to determine the treatment effect of the two groups, recording the occurrence of adverse reactions during the course of treatment and outcome. At the end of treatment follow-up,all the recorded data are statistically analyzed with SPSS24.0.Results:1.2,4 and 6 Weeks after treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 13.33%,83.33%,and 90.0%and the total effective rate of the control group was 0.00%,36.67%,and 66.67%.Because the two groups have statistically significant differences in their effective rates,Qingre Sanjie prescription combined with isotretinoin is superior to isotretinoin alone in the treatment of moderate to severe acne vulgaris.2.At week 2,4 and 6 after treatment, the difference in the total score of the treatment group increased from(3.07± 1.230)to(8.40± 1.476),and that of the control group increased from(1.87±0.819)to(6.27± 1.112).Differences in total scores between the two groups are statistically analyzed and show significant differences.3.After 6 weeks of treatment, the effective rates for treatment of type ?,?,and ? acne were 100.00%,94.44%,and 33.33%,respectively;the control group was 100.00%,62.50%,and 0.00%,respectively.For the treatment of acne vulgaris ? and ?,the two groups both have statistically significant differences in the effective data. But there is no significant difference in the effective data for treatment of grade IV acne.4.The Traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores in the treatment group decreased from(4.04±0.88)to(1.83±0.64)before and after treatment, and that of the control group decreased from(4.20±0.71)to(3.72±1.01)before and after treatment. The difference of Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores between the two groups after treatment was significant.5.There were 3 cases of adverse reactions in the treatment group and 7 in the control group. Conclusion:Qingre Sanjie prescription combined with isotretinoin for the treatment of moderately severe acne vulgaris has a rapid onset of symptoms, significant improvement in skin lesions and a low incidence of adverse reactions. The curative effect is better than that of isotretinoin alone, which is worthy of clinical application.
