Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Peripheral Facial Paralysis With Acupoint Injection Combined With Plum-blossom Neddle

ObjectiveThrough clinical observations on the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis using the therapies of mouse nerve growth factor used for acupoint injection combined with plum-blossom neddle,this research aims at exploring its clinical curative effect on peripheral facial paralysis,which provides a new choice for the clinical treatment.MethodsIn this study,66 patients of peripheral facial paralysis were chosen from the acupuncture outpatient department in first hospital of Guangzhou university of Chinese medicine from January 2019 to December 2019.In accordance with the random number table,the patients was divided into the observation group and the control group,and there were 33 patients in each group,whose clinical curative effect were observed.Both group were treated with basic medicine treatment,which were two courses of mecobalamine taken orally.On the basis of medicine treatment,the control group was treated with plum-blossom neddle,while the observation group was treated with mouse nerve growth factor used for acupoint injection combined with plum-blossom neddle.The observation group was treated with plum-blossom neddle first,and the selected acupoints were Yangbai,Cuanzhu,Qianzhen,Yifeng.Then this group was treated with acupoint injection of mouse nerve growth factor,and the selected acupoints were Quanliao,Jiache,Dicang,Xiaguan.30ug mouse nerve growth factor was added into 2ml water for injection,in that way,each selected acupoints was injected 0.5ml.The control groups was treated with plum-blossom neddle,and the selected acupoints and operation were the same with the observation group.Acupoint injection and plum-blossom neddle was operated one time every 3 days.There were 2 treatment courses in total,and each course needed 15 days.After treatment,Hou s e-Brackmann symptom score and House-Brackmann grading score of two groups were recorded and analyzed.Results1.After treatment,House-Brackmann symptom score and House-Brackmann grading score of the two groups were significantly higher than theirs before treatment(P<0.05).2.After treatment,House-Brackmann symptom score difference value and House-Brackmann grading score difference value of the observation group were higher than theirs of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionBoth methods were effective in treatment of peripheral facial paralysis.However,mouse nerve growth factor used for acupoint injection combined with plum-blossom neddle was more effective than the other one.In conclusion,in terms of treating peripheral facial paralysis,mouse nerve growth factor used for acupoint injection combined with plum-blossom neddle is worth for further application.
