As the largest producer,consumer and exporter of garlic in China,the development of mechanization has become an inevitable trend.And combined with the strict planting agronomy of “one hole,one grain,upright planting”.On the basis of studying the characteristics of garlic seed materials,the article carried out structural design and theoretical analysis of key devices such as single-grain seed picking,directional adjustment,and upright insertion of garlic.With the help of computer simulation analysis and experimental verification,the key technologies and key points of garlic planting machinery were determined.The operation form of the device mechanism provides a theoretical basis for the mechanized sowing of garlic.This paper mainly carries out the following work:(1)Garlic seed material properties and garlic seed discrete element model parameter settings.Cangshan,Jinxiang and Baiqiao garlic were selected as the research objects,the characteristic structure of garlic seed was defined,the basic physical parameters of garlic seeds,garlic seeds-garlic sseeds,and garlic sseeds-contact parts were determined,and discrete elements of garlic seeds were constructed and set.The parameters were verified by experiments.The results shown that the discrete element model of garlic seeds were reliable and could provide a basis for subsequent simulations.(2)Research on the single-seed picking device of garlic in double-filling chambers.Aiming at the high leakage rate of garlic seeds,the mechanism of the first seed-filling chamber and the second seed-filling chamber was designed,and a mathematical model for theoretical analysis was constructed.The operating mechanism of missing filling was obtained,and the influence law of the speed of the first-stage seed scoop and the thickness of the seed layer on the filling performance and population was obtained.The orthogonal test was carried out on the key influencing factors and the parameters were optimized,and the best operating parameters of the device were determined.(3)Research on the continuous orientation device for garlic seeds with two hoppers in series.The key core structure of the series directional adjustment of the trapezoidal hopper and the conical hopper was constructed,and the structural parameters of the hopper were improved and optimized.By simulating the continuous directional adjustment process of garlic seeds,the parameters affecting the operation performance of the series directional adjustment device were determined.(4)Research on the directional inserting device for garlic seeds.Three different types of inserting duckbills were designed to improve the traditional duckbill,and the operation parameters of inserting duckbill were optimized and analyzed with low inserting resistance and high uprightness of garlic species as evaluation indicators.With the help of discrete element technology,the microscopic expression of the interaction between garlic-injector-soil was realized,and the interaction mechanism between the three was clarified.(5)Prototype design and field test verification research,based on the test optimization results of key components,the field test was carried out with the pass rate of garlic seed orientation,missed sowing rate,reseeding rate,and sowing depth pass rate as the test indicators,and the garlic seed orientation pass rate was 97.95%.,the single-grain qualified rate was 95.94%,and the leakage rate was 1.79%,which meet the agronomic requirements of garlic planting.
