In this thesis,the growth period(growth period and winter hair period)of Raccoon was taken as the research object,and the effects of Glycyrrhiza extract on the production performance of Raccoon were studied by preparing different diets with different levels of Glycyrrhiza extract.This experiment is divided into three parts:The first part: the effect of licorice extract on the growth performance of raccoon dog in growing periodIn this experiment,75 healthy raccoons with no significant difference in body weight at 60±5 days were randomly divided into five groups: control group,experimental group I,experimental group II,experimental group III and experimental group IV,with 15 replicates in each group and one raccoon dog in each replicate.All experimental animals were raised in a single cage.The growth period can be divided into two stages: growth period and winter hair period.Pre-feeding for 10 days before the beginning of the growth period,and the formal trial period was from July 15 th,2020 to October 5th,2020.After the end of the growing period,the rats were fed with winter wool diet,and fed 5 days before the beginning of winter wool diet.The formal test period was from October 6,2020 to December 10,2020.Raccoons in control group were fed with basic diet,and Raccoons in four experimental groups were fed with diets supplemented with licorice extract 100mg/kg,200mg/kg,300mg/kg and 400mg/kg,respectively.The basic diets in experimental groups I,II,III and IV were the same as those in control group.Weighing on an empty stomach every 20 days during the whole test period,recording the weight and feed intake of raccoon dog,so as to analyze the growth performance of raccoon dog in growing period.The results show that:(1)There was no significant difference in body weight between the test groups at 60-140d(p>0.05);at 140 d,the weight of test group II was significantly higher than that of the control group(p<0.05),but there was no significant difference from other groups(p>0.05)At 160 d,the weight of test group III was significantly higher than that of the control group,test group I,test group II,and test group IV(p<0.05);at 180-200 d,the body weight between each group was not significant(p>0.05).(2)There was no significant difference in daily weight gain between the test groups at 60-140d(p>0.05);at 140-160 d,the daily weight gain of test group III was significantly higher than that of the control group(p<0.05);after160d to 200 d,each group The daily weight gain was not significant(p>0.05).(3)There is no significant difference in the material-to-weight ratio between the 60-140 d groups(p>0.05);the material-to-weight ratio of the 140-160 d test group III is significantly lower than that of the control group(p<0.05);the160-200 d material-to-weight ratio is equal Not significant(p>0.05).Conclusion,The above results indicated that adding 200mg/kg Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch extract in diet could make Raccoon with better growth performance in 60-140 days.Adding300mg/kg licorice extract to diet can make raccoon dog get better growth performance in 140-200 days.The second part: the effect of licorice extract on the production performance of Wusuli Raccoon in growing periodThe experimental design of this part is the same as that of the first part.The results show that:(1)The protein digestibility of test group II was significantly higher than that of the control group(p<0.05),but it was not significantly different from other groups(p>0.05).(2)The fecal nitrogen of the test group II and the test group IV was significantly higher than that of the control group and the test group I(p<0.05);the nitrogen deposition of the test group II was significantly higher than that of the control group with a significant difference(p<0.05).(3)UREA in test group I was significantly higher than that in test group II(p<0.05);TP in test group III was significantly lower than that in test group I and group IV(p<0.05);there were significant differences in ALB,AST and ALT(p <0.05),the ALB of test group Ⅲ and group Ⅳ was significantly lower than the control group(p<0.05);the AST of group Ⅲ was significantly lower than that of the control group and group Ⅰ(p<0.05);the ALT of group Ⅲ was significantly lower than the control group(p<0.05);the ALP of the test group IV was significantly higher than that of the control group(p<0.05);the GLU of the control group was significantly higher than that of the test group IV(p<0.05);the TG of the test group I was significantly higher than that of the control group and the test group II Group,test group III,test group IV(p<0.05).Conclusion,The above results indicated that adding200-300mg/kg Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch extract in the diet could make Raccoon btain better production performance.The third part: the effect of licorice extract on the production performance and fur quality of Wusuli Raccoon in winter wool periodIn this part,75 healthy raccoon dogs with 135±5 days body weight were selected.The design of this part was the same as that of the first part.The results show that:(1)The protein digestibility of test group IV was significantly higher than that of the control group(p<0.05),but it was not significantly different from other groups(p>0.05).(2)The nitrogen content of the test group III was significantly lower than that of the control group,the test group I,and the test group IV(p<0.05);the nitrogen deposition of the test group III and the test group IV was significantly higher than that of the control group(p<0.05).(3)ALB,AST,and ALT are all significantly different(p<0.05).The ALB of the test group IV is significantly lower than the control group,the test group I,and the test group II(p<0.05);the test group IV AST is significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05);The ALT of test group IV was significantly lower than that of control group and test group I(p<0.05).(4)The liver index of test group III was significantly lower than that of the control group(p<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the groups and other groups(p>0.05).(5)The body length of the test group Ⅲ was significantly higher than that of the control group(p<0.05);the skin length of the test group Ⅱ and Ⅲ was significantly higher than the control group(p<0.05).Conclusion,The above results indicated that adding 300-400mg/kg Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch extract in the diet can make raccoon dogs obtain better production performance and fur quality in winter fur period.
