Excessive application of chemical fertilizers will bring about a series of problems such as the loss of nutrients in rural cultivated land,the decline of agricultural products quality,and agricultural non-point source pollution.Soil testing formula fertilization technology is an environmentally friendly technology that is conducive to improving farmers’ fertilization behavior and alleviating agricultural non-point source pollution.As an important subject of soil testing formula fertilization technology,farmers’ technology adoption behavior is affected by many factors.This paper summarizes the relevant literatures on the adoption behavior of the existing soil testing formula fertilization techniques,and finds that no scholars have taken family farms as research objects.Therefore,this paper takes the main rice producing province of Jiangsu Province as the specific research area,with 278 family farms in the three regions of southern Jiangsu,central Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu as the research objects.Specifically,the adoption behaviors of rice soil testing formula fertilization techniques in family farms in these three regions were studied and compared.The research content mainly includes:First,guided by the theory of farmer behavior,the theory of agricultural technology innovation diffusion,the theory of sustainable development,and the results of relevant scholars.On the basis of research status analysis and sample characterization,the influencing factors of family farm characteristics,personal basic characteristics,social relationship characteristics and information cognition characteristics are determined.Then,the relationship between each specific influencing factor and the adoption behavior of rice composting formula fertilization technology by family farmers in three areas of Sunan,Suzhong and North Jiangsu was analyzed.Based on this,a binary logistic regression model was constructed to empirically study the influence of various influencing factors on the adoption behavior of rice testing fertilization techniques in family farms in southern Jiangsu,central Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu.Finally,the ISM model was used to analyze the relationship and hierarchical structure between the factors affecting the adoption behavior of rice testing fertilization techniques by family farmers.Based on the above research,the main conclusions of this paper are:(1)From the overall adoption of rice soil testing formula fertilization technology in family farms in three areas of Sunan,Suzhong and North Jiangsu,the current adoption rate of this technology by family farmers in Jiangsu Province is not high.Of the family farms,only 37.05%of family farmers adopted rice soil testing formula fertilization technology.(2)Influencing factors on the adoption behavior of rice soil testing formula fertilization technology in family farms in southern,central and Northern Jiangsu,the types of influencing factors and their action directions in Sunan,Suzhong and North Jiangsu are relatively consistent,but there are also differences.The similarities are as follows:The proportion of agricultural labor,production and management area,whether it is a technology demonstration household,whether to adopt the order production method,the age of the farmer,whether to join the cooperative,and whether it is convenient to communicate with the agricultural technicians,farmers’ yield change cognition,quality change cognition,cost input change cognition,and excessive fertilization hazard cognition variables have significant effects on the adoption of rice soil testing formula fertilization technology in Sunan,Suzhong and Subei family farms.The difference is that the gender variable has a significant positive effect on the adoption behavior of rice soil testing formula fertilization technology in the households of Sunan and Suzhong.However,the cultural level variable only plays a significant positive role in the adoption behavior of the rice soil testing formula fertilization technology in the northern Jiangsu family farmer.(3)From the perspective of the hierarchical structure of the factors affecting the adoption of the soil testing formula fertilization technology in the southern Jiangsu,Suzhong and Subei family farms,,cognition of yield change,cognition of quality change,cognition of change in cost input,and cognition of excessive fertilization hazard are direct factors influencing the surface;whether it is a technology demonstration household,whether to adopt the order production method,or whether to join the cooperative as an intermediate indirect factor;the proportion of agricultural labor,production and management area,gender,age,education level,and communication with agricultural technicians are convenient factors for deep root causes.Based on the above research conclusions,relevant policy recommendations are proposed:(1)Strengthen the education and training of farmers and improve the technical awareness of farmers;(2)Cultivate supporting science and technology demonstration households and enhance the driving force of agricultural technology demonstration;(3)Introduce support policies for returning hometowns to promote the orderly development of farms;(4)Improve the grassroots agricultural technology extension system and improve the level of agricultural technology extension services. |
