Small and medium-sized enterprises(SME)have the important role in Chinese economy and are the backbones of modern economic construction.According to the statistics of the Chinese State Council in 2018,the SMEs in China have the typical characteristics of the so called "five,six,seven,eight,nine",which means they contribute more than 50% of tax revenue,60% GDP,70% of technological innovation,80% of urban labor employment,and take 90% of the number of overall enterprises.Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 worldwide in 2020,the development of enterprises is full of uncertainties due to the influence of uncontrollable factors such as epidemic prevention and control policies,labor flow control,and fluctuations in the entire market economy.Compared with the large enterprises,SMEs are themselves vulnerable groups intrinsically which have low anti-risk and capital reserve capability.By the influence of coronavirus,many SMEs are facing the great challenge of being survival.This thesis took a start-up SME,namely AH enterprise,as the case study.In the face of the epidemic and the economic downturn,the internal employee management and system of the studied enterprise are still relatively weak.The out of date management in this company aggravates the crisis.To help the enterprise overcome the existing obstacles,there is an urgent need of improving the regulations of the enterprise and optimizing the process management so that the enthusiasm of the employees can be motivated which is the internal element of realizing a good business.The Amoeba management model is a system of enterprise management,created by Mr.Kazuo Inamori in the practice of running Kyocera Corporation.In this model,the enterprises are divided into several small collectives,the small collective is called Amoeba.In each collective,there is a leader for the task management who is response for the operation so that the small collective can be operated like a small company which conduct accounting,empower management independently.In this mode,everyone can participate into the operation of the business.The management mode relies on the collective strengths and contributions to complete the enterprise management indicators and realize the sustainable development of the enterprise.In this work,the effectiveness of Amoeba management mode to the operation of AH enterprises,with the aim of optimizing organizational structure,increasing income and reducing expenditure,establishing corporate culture,and optimizing performance management,is investigated.The case study demonstrate the effectiveness of applying amoeba management mode for SMEs to improve one’s own anti-risk ability in the same field.To analyze the operation and management of amoeba,several methods such as systematic analysis,literature research,field inspection,and experience summarization are adopted.The literature study of the Amoeba model is conducted simultaneously with the training of Amoeba courses which are theoretical basis of completing this thesis.At the same time,through on-the-spot inspection and data analysis,the problems of AH enterprises such as bloated organizational structure,complicated processes and low efficiency,weak cost control ability,low organizational energy efficiency,single management ability and poor anti-risk ability were systematically analyzed.It should be noted that the author organizes and participates in the entire process of the reform of the enterprise amoeba business management model,summarizes the reform practice and effect,optimizes the organizational structure and work flow,and improves efficiency through the principle of amoeba organization division.Under the help of Amoeba evaluation tools,that is "person-month labor productivity","labor labor productivity","fixed labor productivity",we can evaluate and supervise management,improve organizational management capabilities.Through the establishment of a management model of independent accounting and empowered management,the linked accounting mechanism of market is established.Based on the principle of maximizing sales and minimizing expenses,combining the profit contribution indicators of Amoeba’s financial statements and the method of optimizing performance management,the employees’ work enthusiasm and innovation are successfully improve,and thus their overall operational capabilities are enhanced.In conclusion,the use of the Amoeba organizational system,accounting system,and philosophy system can help companies improve their management capabilities and lead them out of the predicament.At the same time,the case study demonstrated that the application of the amoeba business model in small enterprises provides a feasible solution.
