Research On The Influence Of Supply Chain Partnership On R&D Innovation Of HEM Enterprises

As one of the strategic emerging industries,high-end Equipment Manufacturing(HEM)is an important engine to promote China’s industrial transformation and upgrading.To vigorously cultivate and develop HEM industry is not only the general trend of industrial development under the current "double cycle" economic background,but also an imperative move to drive domestic equipment into the global high-end industrial chain and enhance the core competitiveness of the industry.Although HEM industry in China has developed to a large extent under the support of a number of national policies,it still faces many problems,such as high dependence on import of core technologies and key components,and the ability of independent innovation to be improved.Therefore,only the realization of independent control of HEM can better solve the "bottleneck" problem of China’s current development.As an important channel for enterprises to obtain resources and knowledge,upstream and downstream partners of the supply chain are playing an increasingly important role in obtaining competitive advantages.Current studies have also paid attention to the importance of supply chain partner concentration and supply chain partner trust on enterprise R&D innovation,but the existing studies have not reached a unanimous conclusion.Therefore,it is necessary to further explore the influence mechanism of supply chain partner concentration degree and supply chain partner trust degree on HEM enterprise R&D innovation.In addition,existing studies show that regional institutional environment is a key factor affecting enterprises’ innovation activities and behaviors.However,compared with some western developed countries,China’s market economy is relatively immature,and there are significant differences in policy system,market mechanism and cultural environment among different regions.Therefore,The research on the relationship between supply chain partner concentration degree,supply chain partner trust degree and HEM enterprise R&D innovation needs to further consider the situation of regional institutional environment with Chinese characteristics.Based on this,this paper takes HEM listed companies from 2016 to 2020 as research samples,and further discusses the influence mechanism of supply chain partnership on R&D innovation of HEM enterprises from the perspective of regional institutional environment heterogeneity based on relevant theoretical assumptions.The research was completed by 3 sub-research consortiums:Study 1 mainly analyzed the influence mechanism of supply chain partner concentration degree on HEM enterprise R&D innovation,and the moderating effect of regional formal institutional environment on this process.Through constructing a two-layer HLM model including enterprise layer and regional layer,it is found that supplier concentration degree and customer concentration degree are negatively correlated with HEM enterprise R&D innovation.Regional formal system plays a positive moderating role in the negative relationship between supplier concentration/customer concentration and HEM enterprise R&D innovation.Study 2 focuses on exploring the mechanism of the influence of supply chain partner trust on HEM enterprise R&D innovation,and the moderating effect of regional informal institutional environment such as social trust and innovation climate on this process.By constructing random coefficient model and slope model including enterprise layer and regional layer,it is found that supplier trust and customer trust are positively correlated with HEM enterprise R&D innovation.Social trust environment has a positive moderating effect on the impact of customer trust on HEM’s R&D innovation path,but has no significant moderating effect on the positive correlation between supplier trust and HEM’s R&D innovation.Innovation climate plays a positive moderating role in the process of supplier trust/customer trust influencing HEM enterprise R&D innovation output.In study 3,the fs QCA model was used to explore the configuration effect between the seven anvil conditions of supply chain partnership management at the enterprise level and the institutional environment at the regional level in order to achieve the high LEVEL of R&D innovation output in HEM enterprises.Firstly,the sample data of each time period are calibrated respectively.Secondly,taking the sample in 2020 as an example,this paper discusses and summarizes the configuration solution for HEM enterprises to achieve high LEVEL of R&D innovation output.Finally,longitudinal analysis is conducted on the configuration of samples in each time period through qualitative comparative analysis of multiple periods,and the time evolution trend of the configuration solution is observed.The results show that there are three types of configurations for HEM enterprises to achieve high R&D innovation output,which are supply chain partner trust dominant type(S1),regional informal institution compensation type(S2)and formal institution promotion type(S3)under decentralized supply chain partners.Two configurations,S1 and S3,always appear stably and have certain stability and typicality.The time evolution trend of configuration S2 indicates that the improvement of regional innovation atmosphere plays an increasingly important role in THE R&D innovation of HEM enterprises.Based on the perspective of regional institutional environment heterogeneity,this paper explores the specific impact mechanism and configuration effect of supply chain partnership on R&D innovation in HEM enterprises.On the one hand,the theoretical study on the relationship between supply chain relationship management and enterprise innovation is enriched by the comprehensive upstream and downstream relationship of supply chain.On the other hand,the analysis is carried out from the regional level and enterprise level,which expands the research perspective of HEM enterprises to improve r&d innovation output.Related research conclusion not only can be adjusted for the HEM enterprise and supply chain upstream and downstream relationship advice guidance,can also for the regional government to develop and improve the system of formal and informal institutional environment to provide important reference basis,for our HEM enterprises core competitiveness,realize the HEM industry regional harmonious development has important practical significance.
