Evaluation And Optimization Strategies Of Child-friendliness Of Public Spaces In Urban Residential Areas

With the continuous attention to the humanized design of public space,the quality of public space in domestic residential areas has been greatly improved in the past decade,but there are still some residential areas with poor quality of public space.In the planning and design of public space,there is still less attention to the needs of children.At the same time,the rapid development of science and technology has brought a variety of electronic products to children.More and more children are not willing to take the initiative to go out of the house and communicate in the real public space.Children’s physical and mental health has been widely concerned.With the development of the concept of Children Friendly City,more and more people pay attention to children’s rights and justice in residential areas,cities and public spaces.Therefore,this paper focuses on the urban residential public space,trying to carry out the friendly evaluation of the urban residential public space from the perspective of children,in order to find the existing problems,and put forward the optimization strategy,so as to create a healthy and friendly residential activity space for children.On the basis of interdisciplinary theoretical research such as environmental psychology and children’s behavioral psychology,this paper analyzes the basic needs of children’s activities in public space,clarifies and analyzes the interaction between residential public space and children,and puts forward that the influencing factors of children’s friendliness in residential public space are the diversity,accessibility,safety,comfort and interest of space Nature and participation.Taking this as the evaluation dimension,the evaluation factors are preliminarily selected,selected and finally determined,and the evaluation index system of children’s friendliness in residential public space is constructed,which is composed of 7standard layers and 21 factor layers.According to the evaluation system,this paper makes an empirical study on the residential public space in the six districts of Lianhua new village,a typical old new village in Suzhou.The evaluation results show that the Children Friendly index is 2.4742,which is in a general friendly state,and the performance of space participation and diversity is poor Public space is characterized by single function type,lack of activity space,serious alienation of space function,lack of children’s recreational facilities and low participation.Through the above research,this paper puts forward seven strategies to enhance the children’s friendliness of residential public space: integrate space resources,expand and deepen functions to enrich the diversity of space;create grid space layout system to improve the accessibility of space;create a comprehensive protection and monitoring system to ensure safety;fine space scale and facilities design to improve the comfort of space;create a creative environment In order to improve the children’s participation in the space,it is necessary to design the children’s cognitive space to enhance the interest,design the accessible ecological natural space to make the space close to nature,and innovate and build the interactive governance mode.
