Research On Public Space Types And Reuse Of Traditional Settlements In Northern Guizhou

At present,China is in the background of rapid urbanization.With the rapid increase in the size of the city and the population,traditional settlements are in a dilemma.China's vast territory,diverse geography and climate have formed a large number of traditional settlements with regional characteristics.Traditional settlements in various places carry important factors such as regional culture and social changes.The research and protection of traditional settlements and their internal factors are of practical significance.At the same time,as a treasure of comprehensive craftsmanship such as folk craftsmanship and local customs,traditional settlements have fully demonstrated people's production and lifestyle,excavated the deep value of them,researched the internal nature of settlements such as the type of public space,and explored changes in population structure and behavioral needs.The impact of the change on the overall environment of the settlement is conducive to scientifically guiding the future development of the settlement,and also has certain reference value for the study of public space in the city.This article focuses on the types of public spaces in traditional northern Qiang settlements and their re-use.Based on existing traditional northern Qiang settlements that are in good condition,this paper uses literature research,field investigations,and interdisciplinary research methods to deeply analyze the types of public spaces they cover.Based on the changes in people 's living models following the development of the times,research the points of conflict and contradiction between public space and people 's living needs,and try to interfere with the public space in the settlement by means of architectural design,mainly including the deserted Or public space with a marked decline in vitality can be functionally renewed,and public spaces lacking in traditional settlements can be supplemented to improve the living standards of the residents of the settlements.Both are taken into consideration to ensure the public spaces To develop well,provide local residents with a wealth of places to use,people-oriented,create a virtuous circle of settlement ecology,and promote the organic renewal and extension of settlements.The first part of the thesis mainly discusses the basic overview of traditional settlements in northern Guizhou.It introduces specific aspects from its geographical location,historical and cultural development,settlement form,defense system,public elements,and residents' concurrent employment status.Divided into farming settlements,fortified settlements,and town settlements;from the perspective of geomorphology,it is divided into Pingba settlement,Kuangu basin settlement,hilly settlement and mountain settlement;from the settlement type,it is divided into tandem settlement,random settlement Type settlements,evenly distributed settlements;they are divided into pure agricultural settlements,part-time settlements,and non-agricultural settlements based on their concurrent employment status.Based on this,a summary of the characteristics of the layout of the traditional settlements in northern Guizhou is made to further explain its spatial composition.The second part of the dissertation discusses the types of public space in the traditional settlements of northern Guizhou,and discusses them from the concrete material space and the abstract public activities.Divide its public space by the differences of points,lines,and surfaces,and then analyze the role of public space in settlements.The third part of the thesis mainly discusses the renewal and reuse of the public space in the traditional settlements of northern Guizhou.Firstly,it analyzes some cases of domestic and foreign settlements and public space research,knows the previous conclusions,and combines the results of field research on the research objects to summarize The types of public settlements in the northern traditional settlements and the changes in the production and living patterns of the residents in the settlements.The contradictions between the two proposed an update strategy to design interventions and realize reuse.This article hopes that through the inductive learning and actual investigation of the research results of public settlements at home and abroad,we will darn up the current situation of traditional settlements in northern Guizhou,and use the existing theoretical system to extract the types of public spaces in traditional northern settlements.The internal functions of the settlement are not equal to the needs of the users.The public space is renewed and rebuilt,alleviating the impact of the rapid social development on the traditional settlement,retaining the people in the settlement,and continuing the new settlement story.
