Research On Public Space Design Of Suzhou Peasant Resettlement Residential Areas From The Perspective Of Community Attachment

Urbanization is the only way for China to move toward modernization.The emergence of land-lost farmers and the relocation of residential areas are the inevitable results of urbanization.In the past,due to the blind pursuit of the development speed of urbanization,the needs of land-lost farmers and the quality of resettled settlements were ignored,leading to the weak emotion of land-lost farmers for their new homes,which went against the original intention of China’s urbanization.At present,urbanization is in a critical period of transformation from "speed" to "depth",and "human-centered,improving the quality of urbanization development" has become the top priority.The above austere reality makes us undertake the social responsibility of architects,focus on the emotional needs of land-lost farmers,and pay attention to the space design of resettlement residential areas,so as to strengthen the attachment of resettlement residents to their home.The paper combined with the background of urbanization,and based on the theory of the public space in residential areas,so select the typical resettlement residential areas in Suzou such as Longhui Huayuan,Juta Huayuan,Fuyuan Jia Yuan,Qunxingyuan Erqu.Through the investigation of present condition about unit housing,traffic,landscape,activities,facilities and other public space,we can find that there are still deficiencies in the construction of these spaces,including the unit housing space is small,the form is single;the traffic space environment is poor and lack of order;the landscape spatial form is homogenous and disordered;low utilization rate of activity space,depression and dilapidated;the quality of facility space is low and the supply is insufficient.Based on the social psychological background of land-lost farmers,this paper takes community attachment as the starting point,and establishes a complete scale from the dimensions of residents’ individual characteristics,community material environment,community social environment and so on.According to investigating questionnaires,collecting information,analyzing datas,on the basis of further expand community attachment analysis scientifically,the results show that the community attachment of residents are weaker,and the significant factors in this emotion include age,occupation,activity space,landscape space,the unit of residential space,particularity of resettlement residents,community interaction,community participation.In accordance with the literature review,case investigation,clusion induction of the public spacec in resettlement residential areas,we can analyze the relationship between community attachment and space,construct the interactive mechanism of community attachment and space,so get the people will form emotional attachment to the community space,space design will continue to influence the development of community attachment,and community attachment will put forward requirements for space.Through the influencing factors of community attachment for resettlement residents,and combined with the current situation of public space construction in resettlement residential areas,this paper puts forward the needs of satisfying the spatial functions of multiple ages,dividing the hierarchical and orderly spatial structure,seeking rich and diverse spatial forms,enhancing community communication,and creating a belonging atmosphere.In addition,based on the analysis of the resettlement residents’ s needs for public space under the guidance of community attachment,the paper puts forward the public space design strategies of the resettlement residential areas from the aspects of full age of spatial functions,hierarchical spatial structure,diversified spatial forms,enhancement of spatial communication and enhancement of spatial culture.
