Under the policy guidance of speeding up the construction of Conservation Oriented society and implementing energy conservation and emission reduction,Conservation Oriented Campus has become the overall strategic goal of higher education development in China.This paper takes university dormitory buildings as the research object,and takes Yichang as an example,studies the correlation between external window orientation and ratio of window to wall with annual energy consumption of air conditioning,heating and lighting.First of all,through literature survey and field research,this paper analyzes the main forms,characteristics and energy-saving design status of the existing college dormitory buildings in Yichang,investigates the main energy consumption equipment,use status and timetable in student dormitory,and establishes an ideal analysis model of college dormitory building based on the survey results and relevant energy-saving design specifications.Then,used the simulation software DEST to simulate the correlation curves between external window orientation and ratio of window to wall with the total energy consumption,include annual cumulative heat load,annual cumulative cooling load and annual cumulative lighting load considering natural lighting are obtained.Finally,combined with the current situation of energy conservation of college dormitories in Yichang and the regulations of external windows in relevant energy-saving design documents,the design suggestions of external window orientation and window to wall ratio based on building annual energy consumption are proposed.According to the research,when the window orientation of university dormitory building in Yichang area is 10 ° south by East,the cumulative total load of air conditioning,heating and lighting reaches the minimum value;with the increase of window to wall ratio,the annual cumulative total load increases.Considering the requirements of building energy saving,natural lighting and ventilation,0.25 is recommended as the optimal value of window to wall ratio of college dormitory buildings in Yichang area.
