With the acceleration of urbanization,urban commercial complexes(hereinafter referred to as commercial complexes)are developing rapidly in China with their advantages of intensification and functional compounding,and their external space is becoming increasingly important as a link between itself and urban public space,and an important container for outdoor consumption and entertainment in the city.Under this trend,spatial attractiveness,as an important reflection of the quality of the external space of commercial complexes,is receiving more and more attention from all sectors of society.At the same time,micro built environment elements,as an important part of external space,can directly influence users’ spatial perception and activities while having a strong ease of modification,thus having a significant impact on spatial attractiveness,which has become the focus of scholars’ attention at home and abroad.Based on the above,this thesis takes the city of Handan as the research scope and investigates the micro built environment elements in the external space of commercial complexes to investigate their influence mechanism on spatial attractiveness.Firstly,based on the analysis of the current situation of the external space of the existing commercial complexes in Handan,we further summarize the existing research opinions and relevant expert references,and construct a system of micro built environment elements of the external space of commercial complexes covering spatial interface elements,spatial landscape elements,spatial facilities elements and spatial path elements,as well as establish a method for quantifying the attractiveness of the external space of commercial complexes based on the number of spontaneous and chain activities and their attractiveness intensity.The method of quantifying the attractiveness of external space was established.Secondly,a typical commercial complex,Meilecheng,is selected as the object of empirical research,and the data related to its external space micro built environment elements are obtained through field survey,and the behavioral activities of visitors are tracked through regular and fixed photos(filming),and the corresponding "behavior map" is drawn to realize the quantification of spatial attractiveness.quantify the attractiveness of the space.Finally,a multiple linear regression model is established with micro built environment elements as independent variables and spatial attractiveness as dependent variables to systematically explain the influence mechanism of the former on the latter,and propose the optimization method of external spatial attractiveness of commercial complexes based on this method,which provides reference and reference for future research and planning of external space of commercial complexes.The innovation of the thesis is mainly reflected in the following three points:(1)constructing a system of micro built environment elements of the external space of commercial complexes and establishing a method to quantify the external space attractiveness of commercial complexes.(2)Using multiple linear regression modeling tools,we systematically explain the influence mechanism of external micro built environment elements on the spatial attractiveness of commercial complexes from a quantitative perspective.(3)Expanding the research scope.The third-tier city of Handan is taken as the scope of the study,and the optimization method of external spatial attractiveness of commercial complexes is proposed based on the influence mechanism of micro built environment elements on spatial attractiveness.
