Emergency Diesel Engine is one of the large diesel engines in nuclear power plant,with relatively few faults and high reliability.However,when investigating the operation of Emergency Diesel Engine,it is found that the faults with great influence happen occasionally.Although these failures have been effectively solved,they have resulted in a waste of human and material resources.In order to avoid or reduce the occurrence of similar problems,after the analysis of these problems,it is found that the limitation of the existing monitoring of diesel engine is the main reason that the problems are not found in time.After analyzing the existing monitoring,evaluating hand-held vibration measurement and Fault Tree Analysis,it can be seen that the existing monitoring of a Type Emergency Diesel Engine can meet the basic needs,but it is difficult to achieve rapid fault location and fault germination stage identification.In view of this situation,combined with the research status of diesel engine vibration monitoring,it is found that the use of vibration monitoring can make up for the existing shortcomings of a Type Emergency Diesel Engine,so the operation vibration monitoring and application of a Type Emergency Diesel Engine are carried out.In the process of vibration monitoring and application of a Type Emergency Diesel Engine,combined with its structural principle,the vibration transmission mechanism of its components is analyzed,and the vibration characteristics of its crank connecting rod mechanism,intake and exhaust valves,gearbox and turbochargers are studied.Then,based on the analysis of the vibration characteristics of the components and the vibration research achievements,the appropriate monitoring points are selected,the layout of the monitoring points is designed,the corresponding sensors and data collectors are selected,and the function of the vibration monitoring system is designed.According to the characteristics of a Type Emergency Diesel Engine vibration signal,the analysis method of vibration signal in angle domain based on rotation speed is studied.The feasibility of the analysis method of vibration signal in angle domain is verified by the research of the relationship between the vibration signal of cylinder head and the pressure,and the simulation of valve abnormality and connecting rod bearing shell abnormality on the test.After the application of vibration monitoring on Type Emergency Diesel Engine,it is found that vibration monitoring can monitor the running state of diesel engine and identify the abnormal operation.At the same time,it is found that vibration monitoring can make up for the existing shortcomings of diesel engine.The research on the operation vibration monitoring and application of a Type Emergency Diesel Engine plays an important role in ensuring its reliability,and it also has reference significance for performance monitoring and fault diagnosis of other type large nuclear power diesel engines.
