With the steady and rapid development of the social economy and the gradual improvement of people’s living standards,individual motorization also presents a trend of rapid development.The increasing number of private cars gradually invades the public space of the residential area,resulting in a decline in the quality of the residential environment and the daily behavior of residents.Activities were severely disrupted.This paper studies the use characteristics and evolution mechanism of public space types(including parking space,road space,green space,and activity space)in urban high,medium,and low residential areas under the background of rapid development of individual motorization,and follows the bottom line of activity space Under the guidance of the basic principles of management and control,road space construction and management,green space classification and management,and parking space appropriate tapping potential,the four types of spaces,including parking space,road space,green space,and activity space,are proposed to be compatible with high,medium and low levels.Differentiated optimization strategies adapted to the characteristics of the district;at the same time,five major policy guarantee measures such as source control and management of car purchase conditions,formulation of a dual time-based charging system,use of price levers to regulate parking,vigorous development and construction of public transportation,and establishment of a long-term management guarantee mechanism;Finally,a systematic summary of the public space optimization model of high,medium and low residential areas is carried out,which provides a new idea for the overall overall development of residential public space.The paper can be initially divided into three parts,including a total of six chapters.The first part of this article mainly includes the first and second chapters,which is the basic research part of the paper.Introduce the research purpose and significance through the background,the analysis and definition of related concepts,the research objects and methods,etc.,summarize the structure of the paper,and build a research framework.It also summarizes the three aspects of individual motorization,residential public space,and the impact of individual motorization development on the use of residential public space to clarify the research direction and focus of this article.The second part includes the third and fourth chapters and is the main part of the thesis.The third chapter is the research on the characteristics of residential public space use,mainly from the external characteristics of residential public space,internal layout characteristics,internal use characteristics,residents’ travel modes and management policies,etc.,and summarizes the high,medium and low three.The main problems exposed in the use of public space in the four types of residential areas,including parking space,road space,green space,and activity space,are the main problems in the staging area.The fourth chapter is the research on the mechanism of the influence of individual motorization on the public space of the residential area.First,the development trend of individual motorization is analyzed.The district starts with a dynamic deduction of the typical layout patterns of the four types of spaces,and analyzes their main evolution mechanisms.The third part of this article mainly includes the fifth and sixth chapters,which is the conclusion of the paper.Based on the study of the second part,this paper puts forward the optimization strategy of public space in residential areas.First,four basic principles of optimization are proposed.Then,differentiated optimization strategies are proposed for three residential areas starting from four types of public space.Finally,five guarantee strategies are proposed from the policy level.It also summarizes the main conclusions,innovation points,research shortages and prospects.
