Abstract/Summary:
The Southern Han Dynasty was the second dynasty to establish its capital in Guangzhou in history.The construction of cities,palaces and gardens in that period has left a strong mark in the history of urban construction in Guangzhou.The Southern Han Dynasty laid a certain foundation for the three-city pattern of Guangzhou in the Song Dynasty.At the same time,it greatly expanded the construction area of Guangzhou City,the palace gardens built during this period also had a certain impact on the public space of later generations.In the context of this era of construction,this article from the perspective of landscape architecture to systematically and comprehensively analyze and demonstrate the palace gardens built by the Southern Han Dynasty in Guangzhou.And mainly uses research methods such as literature research,mutual evidence between literature and remains,and comparative analysis to conduct research,and makes a certain analysis and summary of the layout planning of the capital and the palace gardens,and makes a speculation analysis of the layout of palace gardens in four directions.The specific work is as follows:First of all,this article systematically sorts out the background of the Southern Han Palace: It summarizes the social and cultural background of the Southern Han Palace,that is,the non-material basis of the Southern Han Palace.At the same time,this article also summarizes the urban pattern,landscape conditions,and previous construction content of Guangzhou before the Southern Han Dynasty,which is the material basis of the Southern Han Palace Gardens;Since the construction of the Southern Han Dynasty was influenced by the culture of the Central Plains,a summary and analysis of the construction of other ancient cities and palaces in the same period were also made.On this basis,combined with historical records and archaeological excavations,this article analyzes the layout of the capital and palaces of the Southern Han Dynasty from the planning level,and summarizes the characteristics of capital construction and palace construction in the Southern Han Dynasty.Next,this article discusses the palace gardens in the four directions of the capital in detail,and infers the spatial orientation.According to the description of related documents and the characteristics of palace construction during that period,the layout of the palace gardens is speculated and imagined.Finally,this article analyzes and summarizes the relationship between palace gardens in the Southern Han Dynasty and Guangzhou’s landscape,capital,urban functional areas,and imperial life,analyzes the landscape construction techniques of Southern Han Palace gardens,and summarizes the plants that may be used in gardens and their characteristics.To sum up,the construction of the gardens of the Southern Han Dynasty Palace greatly promoted the construction of Guangzhou City,and the formation of the “Palace Gardens-Urban Functional Area-Capital City” pattern has an important influence on the later ancient city of Guangzhou.The palace gardens of the Southern Han Dynasty provided leisure and entertainment venues for members of the royal family.Therefore,the Southern Han Dynasty paid special attention to the use of the city’s landscape conditions for landscaping,and its waterscape,stone scenery,and decorative arts all had local characteristics.And it mostly uses native plants and overseas plants for palace garden landscaping.This article hopes that it can make a little supplement to the research on Lingnan gardens by systematically studying the gardens of Southern Han Dynasty and summarizing its characteristics,so as to make the research of Lingnan landscape gardens more perfect and provide a little foundation for future generations to study Lingnan gardens.
