In this report, it is mainly to analyse climate adaptation technologies of traditional dwellings of Wannan (Southern of Anhui) through field tests, questionnaires, software simulation and other research methods. This report firstly discusses the origin, purpose, significance of subject research and the present research status of related firlds at home and abroad. It secondly states the relationship between architecture and climate, and the types of meteorological data in use at current stage of research. As the significant characteristics of China Climate and the difference of climate zones, around the traditional dwellings develop many climate adaptation technologies to adapt to a variety of climatic characteristics. And then, it leads out of discussion to climate adaptaion technologies of traditional dwellings of Wannan. Additionally, it preliminary analyse climate adaptability characterization of whole area of Wanna from the level of macro and micro respectively. Taking the region of Ping Shan as example for case study to research the toward, the peripheral structure, building materials, the detailed structure and other techniques on single building. To analyse the technical advantages and disadvantages from both sides of theory and observation, and bring up passive technology which suits this climatic condition through software simulation and optimization measures of traditional technology with local actual conditions. Finally, this report comprehensively summarize research results, and inadequacies in processing of research and the aims of follow-up research.
